Have a Liteon 0225 with MXIC based flash with switch installed to lock\unlock drive and LT+ 1.91 on drive. I have an Intel ICH10R based SATA controller for data transfer and old connectivity kit (version 2) to power drive.

The person that flashed the drive for me has the original firmware, will I need that or can I dump the firmware with what I have and just load that as the original then use LT+ 2.0 bin as target etc.

Pretty certain that chipset doesnt work on the 0225, looks like you will have to invest in a X360USB and be sure to read the jungleflasher guide.

Are you sure about that?

The ICH9\10 series were "the" chipset to use since the beginning for all drives?

Thanks for your post though no offense with my comment just not what I was expecting at all? (I have used this chipset for literally ever drive released except slims with no problem)

Didnt work for me or others and i have both chipsets on two different PC,s ICH9,10 worked on the 9504 slim but not the 0225, wont do you any harm to try. I have also seen this post with people using Via6421 card and SYBA IDE to Sata adapter which would be cheaper than a X360USB.
