ok so I am a noob to halo modding, but not to all modding. I have a halo box w/ice chip, evox bios and dash. I am tring to install nmp 2 cxe. I get all the way to the ip,pass,login,path spot. I input all the correct info and it tells me this: "remote dir (\F\games\halo\) does not exist" it does exist damnit!!!! I tried this for 10 hrs yesterday and no advancements. now I know that I am not the only person that this has happened to. I came accross the tut that came with the installer pack and it said some thing about this, I did what it told me to do and still nothing!!!!!!!! wtf, wtf, wtf, what the fucking fuck!!!!!!

please help

change the F to E, well atleast if your games in E drive.

no my games are in f drive. I am sure. it makes no sence, that is y I posted this. I was hoping that somebody knew something that I stupidly did wrong. could it maybe that i have something fucked up with the halo install? and maybe I have to reinstall it?

F/Games/Halo is the exact path to your copy of Halo? I'm just checking to make sure you didn't do something like use pxhddloader to copy halo to your hdd.

I used dvd to box. ya it is. when I do dvd 2 box, explorer program, it says that is in this: "F:\games\halo" I even tried that. it is like something is just plain wrong with my shit. I am not this noob-ish. that is y this is pissing me off so much!! I feel helpless!!

You probably already did this but I would ftp my xbox and make sure that halo is installed to f:\games\halo\. Make sure the .xbe is in their. That is the only thing I can think of.

ya it is there, in fact there is default.xbe, and default.xbe_orig. and for a while it was getting so far as to saying default.xbe doesnt exist!

update: ok I think that I found my problem when I ftp to the box and look in \f\ all I see is coded text (all symbols). I cant read the diff folders, I think that that is y the program cant find the correct path. any ideas? f

I tried this I added a dir to \f\. I called it halo. so now when I do the installer on the nmp2 cxe file. it says "defaul.xbe isnt found in \f\halo: i installed the maps and default. xbe in to that dir. and now it says "maps folder doesnt exist in \f\halo". so I then made a maps dir and put all the maps into it. now it ssays "remote dir "\f\halo" doesnt exist. so wtf!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Check WIth boXplorer and use a different xbox dash to ftp into.

I did check with boxplorer and it is deff at "\F:\games\halo\". but also I have evox dash, but I cant ftp right to the dash. I can however ftp to the xenium chip. is it possible to ftp directly to the dash? if it is I cant manage to do it. when I try all I get is the ftp client saying that it isnt able to do it. what dash do you have, and can you ftp directly do it?

let me say one more thing. I just d/l flashfxp and now when I fpt to my box, flash fxp doesnt show any files when I click on the dir it is in. it just shows c,e,f,x,y,z. and when I click it it just brings up parent directory. god damn I hate tech stuff.

does anybody else get this. I may just have to change a setting

ok I am editing this to say that I just d/l smart ftp. I then used this and it also wont let me see anything in any of the folders. the only ftp client that would work to show me the shit Ineeded to see was bulletproof ftp. but that shows coded text. am I doing something totally wrong?...

ok so this is the 3rd edit, I now d/l core ftp. it shows all the contents of the diff dir, but it still shows coded text in the f drive..... wait ok so since I started writing this edit I tried something else. I just ftped my box while in the evox dash. my prob was that I changed my username on my chip settings but on the dash it stayed xbox. DUH!!!!!!!!!!! wow that was a noob mistake!lol

ya same here I was starting to get worried. but on a side note... nmp is totally awesome. goddamn thoes are some cool maps, shitty part though is that I got halo to be new to me again 2 weeks before h2 comes out, but oh well this will help me not d/l h2.
