360 Slim 9504 Drive Flashing Options

I think its the next Dash update which locks the Drive mate so you would be best to update the drive firmware before updating to the next dash update but I am not 100% sure so let one of the experts answer to be sure

13599 locks your drive so you should be right
but in saying this some games have updates that require you to apply before playing
Some may in the future have dash updates
remember the kinect games had minor dash updates
 u can just buy a tx pcb replacement board or get the kamakaze hack done

So would the best course of action be to flash the slim with the new lt+2.0 firmware and then update the dash ?

Just updated mine today(after reading your post) and was in the same postion.
Ok i updated to dash that reflashed the drive to Stock with the new firmware m.s forced with the update then just reflashed after doing this dash update with the new Ltplus for slim,Everything went well and Now ive updated to the latest Dash (Drive now locked i think) but everything seems to be working fine

Thanks that is good to hear, its a shame that the drive is possibly locked though because I would imagine it will make things a bit more difficult for future lt+firmware updates.
