It is not recognizing my drive at all still.

If the drive is not detected, select the proper IO port and just try to Erase it, then intro, and then write!
Keep trying this procedure it must work.

do this, select the right port (very important), i know, the drive isn't detected, but u know its there, so no problem. hit intro. yeah, i know, u don't see the drive, no problem. power cycle. i bet u see the drive now. now u can write firmware to it.
