what dash are you on
possible your drive is locked
may have to use kamakaze hack to unlock drive or a tx pcb board
have you tried slim key tab in dvdkey 32

QUOTE(JamesNY @ Oct 3 2011, 06:49 AM) View Post

hi there

i have slim with 9504 whos become 0272

so i flashed it with 191  and worked fine
so some game again asked me to update wich i did

now its stuck with screen cant update from disc and i c ant get to dashboard

i tried update from disc and usb

nothing

but when i try reflash it jungleflasher gives me slim unlock failed

anyone with same problem

Hi, the game has a dash update and tries to flash your drive with a new firmware, and you drive has a custom firmware so it cant or refuses to flash it.

What you should do is to flash back the stock firmware (with the correct key of course), try to complete the dash update and then do the sputnik hack or kamilkaze hack to flash back the drive. Now it is more complicated to flash 9505 because the dash update blocks the drive from being flashed in traditional ways, hence the sputnik hack or kamikaze (i think there are others, use stickies and search, its all here in the forum).

You should ALWAYS flash back to stock firmware, then dash update, then flash custom firmware.

Can you not get around the drive being locked by installing the SystemUpdate_13599_
then flash to the latest firmware before doing any futher updates which lock the drive??

i know this isnt the best way to do it but had same sort of situation last night with sons xbox. originally a liteon drive but had a benq in it spoofed as liteon. firstly it wouldnt update which i thought would happen anyways. I then updated the drive to LT2.0 and left it as a benq drive and put it back in and the xbox updated without any problem.

must look to see if drive is on latest firmware and if it is then ignores the drive no matter what type
