I dug out my old 360 (phat), which I believe has ixtreme 1.4 installed. The only recent thing I did with it was play Mass Effect 2 on it, which installed an update of some kind. Dashboard is pretty ancient and I haven't gone on live since 08-09. Drive is an ms28/ ts-h943; from what I've read so far, it appears I'll need to reflash the stock firmware then flash to the latest ixtreme. Not too sure though...would appreciate it if someone can offer me pointers on what to do here. Additionally, I read xval is obsolete...how else can I check if my xbox was flagged for live? Any help is greatly appreciated.

quick question...

with this new firmware does that mean we will no longer need to worry about patching games with abgx360, or will that still be needed?

Just a quick note. JF auto loaded v1.1 for my lite-on 7 series for some reason. I tried flashing it since others have said the same thing and figured it was a glitch in JF, but wasn't reading xgd3 discs afterwards. I had to manually load the correct new firmware and reflash. After that things wen't smooth as butter.

Please guys help me...I am getting crazy over here it still does not work.

So I reflashed my drive again but is not working. Also I noticed the game NFS hot pursuit is not working it says unsupported disc?? Other games works fine like recent fifa 2012,deux. I put a screenshot on it I hope you can help me I still can not figured out what I am doing wrong.

But I have the Benq VAD6038 64930C is that the problem maybe?

Know I update to stock and now I am going to flash to Lt+2.0
But the model specifications are not the same?

So does this mean with my hitachi motherboard that I am shit out of luck and that I can't use my hitachi drive or my samsung drive in there so no point in updating and I will have to buy a new modded system if I want to play any of the xdg3 back up games?

As well with my liteon motherboard I can't use the benq drive correct so will have to buy a new dvd drive for their system.

Just an update on my lite on motherboard I used my benq just changed the key kept original firmware benq and used lt 2.0 firmware and didn't spoof drive my xdg3 back up copy of gears is no working.

I still don't know if this is going to work if I use my hitachi motherboard and put my sammy drive in it without spoofing just key if it will be able to play the xdg3 disc, and if it doesn't and no update for my hitachi 47 drive if I have to buy a liteon or benq or will I have to buy a whole new modded system.

It is possible for a 360 which had a lite-on from the factory but which now has a
benq to run xgd3 and ap2.5 games.

I know this because thats what I have.

My factory lite-on 360 was giving intermittent open tray messages with my gears of war 3 backup so
I replaced it with the benq drive from my other 360 which was banned a few years ago.

I loaded my dummy bin from the lite-on drive as source firmware in jungleflasher (newest version) and
loaded the benq lt 2.0 as target firmware and then clicked spoof source to target.

Put the benq in the 360 and it runs xgd3, ap2.5, originals, backups everything.

Just so if any one is looking for this answer later, I flashed my samsung just straight flash, used orignal source ms-25 firmware, spoofed to source as a ms-28 using the LT 2.0 sammy firmware, and just copied my key only. I put it in my hitachi system and it works fine just don't spoof as a hitachi and it will work all ap 2.5 games work that did before and all XDG3 back ups worked as well. Is there any reason for me to have to get a benq or a liteon drive or would I be smart getting another sammy drive although I have 3 other sammys currently that are good drives. I have one that is a bad flash that I could just swap the pcb board on but will try to refigure out how to flash a bad flash job but it is my 3rd extra samsung so not that worried now.

If anybody knows if "HalfRight" is correct please feel free to comment and save me some time if that method doesn't work or just some reassurance incase it does work and i do something wrong and it doesnt work. That way I'll know to keep trying if it is supposed to work.

I got my drive playing XGD3 Backups. I used JungleFlasher v0.1.88 beta and under the Mtkflash tap I read the samsung drive firmware. Then I auto loaded the sammy LT+2.0 firmware and spoofed source to target, then flashed that firmware to drive using Mtkflash tab and now can play XGD3 originals and back ups. Hope this works for you HalfRight and everyone else having the same problem.

What I dont understand is the original drive in my 360 was a Hitachi 47 and JungleFlasher would say the firmware was Samsung TS-H943A MS28 spoofed as hitachi 47 but now it says its Samsung TS-H943A MS25 spoofed as Samsung TS-H943A MS28 and its playing all games backups and originals just fine. I thought that the drive type had to match the board not just the key but basically what I did by doing what i described above is basically just take the key and patch it into the Samsung TS-H943A MS28 Lt+ 2.0 FW. Can someone confirm that this works on other 360. If it does im sure this is not new ground. Just something I missed being out of the flashing scene for awhile since I had a J-Tag for the last few years.
