Spoofing Problem With Update

So I have a BenQ spoofed as a Lite-On 9345. It's on LT-Plus 1.91 and has the correct CD key and barcode.
It plays FIFA 11 just fine, but's hanging @ 90% when it tries a system update that is included on the FIFA 12 copy.

Any idea's what might cause this?

Yes, it's trying to flash the drive as part of the update and your drive is spoofed, also you shouldn't be doing that from an LT backup.

Okay, but I can't make the BenQ report as a 02510c, can I?

I also can't use it as a regular VAD6038.. So I'll just have to wait for the LT-2.0/ LT-Max?

have u tried to update using a usb flash drive?

Copy to a USB flash drive (from xbox.com)

Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.
Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
Download the update file.
Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
Unzip the file. If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your flash drive.
Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.
Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.
Restart the console.
When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.

hi all,

i applied the ltplus 2.0 yesterday morning to a benq spoofed as a liteon.
the problem was the xbox was running 12625 dash which needed to be updated, to complete this i had to
1) temporarily install a liteon drive flashed with the correct OFW for that dash version.
2) then update to the latest dash 13599.
3) reinstall the benq flashed with ltplus 2.0 spoofed as a liteon drive.
tried it with original gow3, and my own backup of same game both work perfect.
this xbox is already banned so its worth noting that i know spoofing is not ideal, but while it works i dont see any point in replacing drive with original type.

hope that helps

I had this same problem with a Jasper unit that came originally with a Liteon. I put a Benq in it long ago and had it spoofed as a Liteon.. I tried to update to 13599 via thumb drive and it did the same thing with failing at 90%.

I didn't have a Liteon drive anymore, so I returned the Benq to it's original firmware and tried the update again. Believe it or not, it did work. So I then flash the Benq with the LT2.0 for Benq and didn't bother to spoof it back as a Liteon. Dropped it into the console and it worked flawlessly. No error codes or anything..

Perhaps 13599 doesn't verify the OSIG of the DVD drives anymore??? Then again I thought they removed that feature over a year ago due to all the refurbed 360 units getting new DVD drives...
