Pmt Question !
« on: August 21, 2011, 06:53:00 PM »

Guys i got a dvd power connector kit and i think i've cut the wrong wire for pmt switch

So I've cut the wire of the 6 3.3 volt

according to the dvd power adapter logic i've cutted the 7 wire instead of 6 wire with the scheme up there.

Did I cut the wrong wire on the correct wire ?

Regards,

yes/ no/ maybe so
the best thing would to use a multimeter to confirm the corrrect wire by measuring voltage to ground.
the trouble is there are various diagrams of the plug/socket arrangement and can get
confusing when you either looking from the from or back, some are even numbered different.
its always best to check with a meter to be sure, if it is wrong repair the wire and cut the correct wire.
