« on: August 08, 2011, 05:44:00 PM »

Hi guys, i just flashed my slim 0225 but i'm getting random play disc message. I saw a tutorial that say I need the calibration data, so please can you all give me yours? Just download an hexeditor, open dummy.bin and go to line 1ff80 and past here the entire row. Thank you for your help and sorry for my (bad?) english.

I Need Your Calibration Data

Hello, I had the same problem
I flashed a liteon 0225 MXIC using russian unlock hack but with Jungle Flasher v0.1.86b,
I dump-it before doing any thing
I unlock-it with succes using a 6 Ohms resistor
Then write the LT plus 1.91 0225
but, no luck always a "read DVD" error
Originals & their backups (OFF/ON didn't do any things)

The DVD video disks are working fine !! so in this case, will this mean that I had a false DVD key ???!!! I flashed more than 400 360 drive's, (slim 9504 too) but this is the first time I've flash this 0225 drive !!!
In all cases I had an other slim console for change this one if it doesn't work after all !!!

I've arleady try putting back an OFW 0225 made with JF & the firmwares pack from c4eva !! same problem !!
I change the calibration data into the CFW 2 times, same problem (read DVD)

What can-I do else !! I am really tired with this 0225  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
thanks in advance for your answers

Yes you seem to have extracted the wrong DVD-key. If DVD's work fine, especially if the same kind of DVD's work that you use for games work.........well then your console is gone. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Hello guys, good morning & thanks for answers
No, my DVD key is correct,
the slim liteon is now working after I flash-it with LT plus 1.9 0225 (it didn't work before with the 1.91 version !!)
but some times it's working very fine, when I reboot my 360, the "read DVD" error comeback
I left-it 10 or 20 minutes OFF,
ON
the DVD (originals & their backups) work very very well !!!!

!!! It looks to be a problem with the lens, the firmwares, the calibration data or the soldering point !!!???

Really I didn't understand this slim !! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jester.gif)

The most important now is that I am sure that my DVD key is corrrect !!! Thanks to the great work from team jungle guys  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
If you had solutions, I am here to try-it !!!
My calibration data now is, it was goodly dumped by Jungle Flasher v0.1.86b in the dummy.bin:

01 04 01 00 02 01 00 24 02 01 53 54 04 01 05 01

@LittleBH i've tryed all of your data with no luck. If someone have any other calibration data please give it to me.

@alanewake all you have to do is copy your calibration data from dummy.bin and paste it to the lt+ plus fw, then flash it

This issue has been driving me crazy for the past week, but I gave up on it. I am not sure if it's calibration data since I am using the same data from my original PCB, but I am using an unlocked PCB now. Soldering seems good, xbox is new so lens is good. If anyone solves this for good, please let us know.

May be one of the team jungle guys could explain to us why we had this problem (thanks to them)

cromos, the same calibration data wich is the dummy.bin is in the LT plus 1.91/1.9 firmwares !!
it's wrking now to mee but sometimes I get teh read DVD error, have to put off the 360, wait 2 or 3 minutes & back-it ON, this solve the problem
once it work, it work for all disks without problems, until the future " (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) read DVD error"

Exactly, what is even more interesting is if you get Play DVD, you can eject and try as many times as you want, even with different games and still get Play DVD. However it works the other way around, if you boot and get Play Game, then you can throw any game that works in it while its powered on and get Play Game. So what this tells me is that the problem only happens randomly on bootup. Seems to be a 50% chance of it working properly, did 10 attempts and 5 failed.

Really good to see some collaborative data about this issue here. Lots of reports of this and the eject tray issue but the tray issue is an easy fix.

Hope we can figure this one out.

Edit: I found this info on another thread but its very limited as in terms of actual usage. I think we're on the right track though with the 'calibration data' @ 01FF80

QUOTE

If you are getting play DVD you need to edit values at 01ff80 by hex editing your Cfw there's tons of options some refer to it as calibration data play DVD can be that or wrong key. I extracted using old jf before installing pro kit and it gives me play DVD error all the time until I edit that value and then no problems this has happened on multiple of my 0225 drives prior to new jf later jf no issues after dumping and creating Cfw from fresh pcb

I have had several wb chips unlocked with play DVD and editing data cleared it up

What I would like to know is what the "tons of options" are?

Also a bit confused as to the fact that this is even an issue since JF .86B is supposed to extract a full dump of unlocked SPis. Hope someone official can comment who actually has something constructive and significant to say.

Who knows. After unlocking a 0401 with unlockspi.exe I attempted to dump in JF. Whats really weird about JF .86B (havent tried a read with any other ver) is that it was looking for this file in order to save my dump "LTPlus-0272-v1.9.bin". My drive wasnt even a 0272. it was a 0401. I didnt have that firmware in my /firmware dir because I was working with 1.91, not 1.9. So I thought this was a bug because the app would crash after telling me it couldnt find that file. Since I had my dummy from slimkey I just used that to spoof into 1.91 and wrote the cfw without issues.

I booted, played backups fine, turned it off. Booted again to show someone my leet dremel hacking skills and I was embarrassed by a Play DVD message. Now I dont know if this is related at all but at that time my drive was still unlocked. I went back and intro'd the drive, ran unlockspi and re-locked the drive. Since then its been working fine every time. So I dunno wtf the cause is/was.

I went back to the drawing board and put LTPlus-0272-v1.9.bin into my /firmware directory. After having that file present I was able to read my SPi. (although at this point my cfw has already been written). But it dumped fine.

Did another last night, no issues at all.

Those of you with problems reading games after the unlock/flash. Are you supplying 3.3v with your engraver?

I havent used 3.3v once and I'm not going to. Seems like everyone with problems have been using 3.3v /w resistor.

Post back.
