Spent some time with Maximus over the mx and wb flashes, while the mx is a piece of cake, the WB is a bitch.
There were at least 3 solutions for WB, some more risky, this is less risky one, even if it's not noob friendly.
It's even not so much techical in comparison to the others one that had few success rate, or against the ones that had lot of effort and got no result.
There are also other possibilities for a software only way, but it's like going blindly searching for a fantomatic "winbond manufacturer mode" (how the hell do they write the serial numb in there? there must be a way), but actually i'm getting lazy.

Btw, since fw out here have some small differences, prior to go erasing and writing, would be usefull to have fulldump (0225,0225u,0401,xxxx+) ... if you have an app/device that can do it o.c.

As usual, use at your own risk, i don't care. Hate it or love it, i don't care.
Special thanks to Maximus for cooperating and for supplying test ICs.

Have just done 5 Winbonds and an MX (diff resistor)that would not work with russian.. this is awsome.. props to Geremia... this would have taken ages to figure out..

This is totally a not for noobs kind of mod... if this is ur 1st mod take it somewhere to get modded.

Can see allot of ppl stuffing chips/boards up trying this one..lol

This is fricking awesome!

THANX AGAIN GERAMIA! For being the one to provide the solution! YOU ARE A BLOODY LEGEND! First as always! 'Russian Unlock' Now re-branded : 'Geramia SPI Unlock Solution' GSUS for short ;-)

This is the most not-for-noobs-mods YET! The award goes to ...
It's an awesome trick! make sure you use the right tools, or you might find a spinning metal drill-bit gives  you more than you asked for!
Getting the right pos when you look at the overlay (and know what's involved) , well .... let's just say there's not much in it! I shudder to think of the 3 more solutions that were more risky ;-)

All the PCB's are sold out! Sooo Might be a good idea to make sure you have one at the ready!
I will now need to try to order a lot of 'TX pro unlock chip/kits' Pity I can't find anyone who has any :-(
