I have one question. I have an xbox 360 with a liteon 83850c and I already got the key backed up.  I updated to the new dashboard already and I'm wondering if the key will stay the same even with the new dashboard (I assume it does, but not 100% sure).   if it does stay the same, can I just flash the drive with the new fw and old key??  thanks in advance

I may be wrong but I'm assuming you'll want to flash back to stock, update, then flash new firmware.

If you update with the old modded firmware you might be flagged for ban.

Not sure what the consequences would be if you flashed to 1.9 firmware then updated...

And what about 2.5 patches and old games?? Do we need new patches for games witch we already have because old patches woldnt work?? and if yes then when ABGX database will be updated with that ones.Thanks

I would flash to stock ofw, then update to new dashboard, then let jungleflasher find the key and flash with the 1.9 firmware. That way if they do something funky with your key you're not flashing the old key back on there. Just use what Jungleflasher finds.

I'm assuming that the ap25 backup games will not work on the new dashboard even with the 1.9 firmware. You'll probably have to rebackup from your originals AFTER ABGX is updated.

Whats all this talk about changing drive keys and stuff???

The Key was never changed or moved, newer Jungle flashers simply couldn't read it at the time. For those that haven't updated yet, i would highly recommend flashing back to stock, then doing the system update, followed by flashing to 1.9.

I have a benq drive

Before updating the fw to 1.9, the drive must be flashed with OFW, then let live update, and then flash to fw 1.9???

Or is this only for specific drives.  
ie: lite on: you dont have to flash back to OFW, but benq: you have to?

Will it be the same tutorial for the drives? ----> jftut1.4.0.FINAL 3.pdf ?

OMG, (almost)Anyone who has 'asked' any questions on this forum up untill this point: IF YOU CAN'T READ AN FAQ, DO A SMALL AMOUNT OF RESEARCH OR GIVE IT TO A LOCAL PRO, THEN YOU DON"T DESERVE FW!

Don't have time even to read the FAQ?  : Don't be stingy and give it to ur local pro who should get it done properly and give u peace of mind.(It's kinda half their job to keep apprised of this stuff- it's what ur paying for mostly - assuming they're any good), You can give it to a back-yardy who doesn't even read the FAQ let alone do his research at ur own risk, Pls don't come here asking stupid questions because u couldn't be bothered doing a basic search etc.. If u need genuine support, then find an appropriate thread, take it's advise and/or make a post on ur specifics.

Maybe I'm a bit grumpy, but I'm soo sick of these ppl who are so lazy when they do their mods, that they invariably get a pro to fix it and expect them to perform miricales.. anywayz I've grumbled enough.. Yay for new frimware!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanx again bro.. I will  be happy now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (was hoping for some 0225 progress, but I'm grateful for any/all)

BTW: It's always better to extract ur key first (if it even matters ...) Avoid updating the dash until u have made sure that's the drive you wish to have fer a while.... ;-)

I upated trough live. Didnt knew it would be a drive update too.

So I dunno,

I have LT firmware currently but do not have the keys.  Am I able to flash ofw, update xbox, and then retrieve the key again, or is the only way for me to get the key mra still?

LT+ v1.9 IN TESTING This version is for dashboard version 2.0.13146.0 – It will have no XGD3 backup support but will be based on the latest firmware as updated by the new dashboard update.

Does that mean once flashed with Lt v1.9, when you go to update your 360 again to sign in xbox live it won't overwrite your firmware an your gaming again?

I'm sending it off to get flashed tomorrow so just curious to see how it works.

Any ideas?

What do you mean when you go to update it again? If you mean future dash updates... how are we supposed to know whats going to happen in the future?
