Good stuff, although I am going to wait for 2.0.

Are there even any games that use XGD3 right now?

AFAIK, only the Halo Reach beta copy that was released by MS has it. It could take a while before we see a game released that contains XGD3 but who knows.

from what i know,the halo reach xgd3 disc ran fine on drives flashed with LT+ 1.1
so LT+ 1.9 may be safer for xbl than LT+ 1.1,but both can run xgd3 originals.

I'm just gonna wait until LT+ v2.0 to save the hassle of flashing twice in quick succession.

Tiros says a lot, apparently slim owners weren't gonna be playing Slim backups, this was back in November lol

I wouldn't worry about him.

I'm wondering what the wait time would be from 1.9 to 2.0?   Is it gonna be months or weeks apart?  If it's months I'll get my drive flashed, but if it's weeks then I'll wait.

Not much is coming out of c4eva.  He always says soon on everything.  So who knows when LT+ 2.0 will come?

I'm guessing not for awhile, but who cares since XGD3 is only on the Halo: Reach disc sent out to testers. LT+ 1.9 is fine for 99.99% of games for now.

How about the new AP2.5 challenges? are there any in the new dash? will LT+1.9 deal with it or do we need to reburn our backups?

I might just flash my drive if its ok to go back on live with black ops. if not i'll sit it out offline!

Hey,

I have a Hitachi 59D in my son's box, he does play on live and am wondering what my steps should be now?  Should i except the updated dash, and then flash to LT+1.1 or wait until a new firmware is released for the hitachi?  Seeing as though (i know they are a pain) they are being sidelined in favour of the other drives etc?

Not quite sure what to do, my boy is 5 and letting him use my originals isn't an option really!

What are my options?

Thanks all.

There is new AP2.5 challenges.  So you will have to re-burn the ap2.5 games only.

 Show some respect. Tiros is the person responsible for creating the hacked SMC for the rebooter project and certainly has more clout than a group who make things too profit.

 Why is a new Samsung fw needed? They are absolutely not flashing the Samsungs , unless their is something new that LT didn't include or makes it no longer safe.

Have these new AP2.5 challenges been added to ABGX?

Thanks

Hey,

I have an Hitachi 79 drive, I put stock firmware on it and did the update.  The key location stayed the same as the older version of JF still read the keys after the update.  I believe C4eva said that Hitachi drives are 'ignored' in the update as they have no ability to handle AP2.5 challenges.

I'm going to use it on Live as I don't think new firmware will be released for it because it is not needed.

People say Hitachi sucks, but we won't have to reburn our 'back ups' so I'll take my low tech Hitachi over a lite-on.

Hope that helps, but as always there is a risk.

Later.

* 0272 – use of 9504 LT+ NOT recommended
* 02501c – use of 93450c LT+ NOT recommended

Does that mean even LT+ 1.9?  Or even 2.0? and Why not recommended?
