didnt expect c4eva to release this in 2 batches so to say, 1.9 and 2.0.. good of him to rush out the 1.9 though for those who are desperate!

Kinda wierd though how he has just not made people wait for 2.0, with full xdg3 support. Maybe it will take some time, hence get the 1.9 out now..

Ah... for a moment my heart skipped a beat. I thought the LT2.0 was released.
Anyway, still great news - we will be able to get back on LIVE. smile.gif

Why? There is no reason NOT to release 1.9. This way we can enjoy xbox live in the meantime. And it's not a good idea to release 2.0 for all drives as long as there is only one disc to test (Reach) around. Therefore we'd likely have to wait several months until 2.0 gets released. If you want to wait: you can still wait :-) So it's a win-win situation..

Great news! Be grateful, being back on LIVE sooner than later is always good.

Edit: At least originals with XGD3 will be supported which is great.

Yea, I'm surprised that v2.0 is not going to get release for awhile. I don't know why 1.9 needs to be release, I'm using Lt plus perfectly fine.

Why except for hitachi?
It is confirmed that OLD HITACHI drives dont need a new FW cause are not being flashed by the new systemupdate, and they are already ready to XGD3?

1.9 needs to be released for those that use Xbox LIVE. If your still using LT plus and have updated to the latest dash, you may not be "perfectly fine" for long.

so the hit v79 drives there no new fw and just update that and reflash if needed? or will there be one coming out?

No, its because Hitachi sucks - theres loads of different firmware versions, which is therefore more work. Hitachi is always last to get updates.
