In the same boat here. Was hoping on using the LT+ software on this drive but after noticing it was 0251 i had alarm bells and held off erasing the drive lol.

I've managed to grab all the drive keys and left the drive as normal per now.

What I wanted to know is should I be waiting for a new version of this drive firmware by the team before I mod it or if I want to play SOLELY offline should I be okay with the older version of the drive firmware that was released by the team?

I have doubt as to whether or not an older version of the lt+ software for the 74850c would even work hence why I thought it wise to post a message in the forums first.

Looking forward to advice from you guys.

I have a 74850c lite-on and have the key backed up, it is currently flashed with LT v1.1 on the old dash (old as in hasn't been on live for like 2 months).

Where do i go from here?

Do i flash it BACK to stock, then hook it up to live and update to the new dash which will make it a 0251....then what do i do? Do i get my probe out and read the key from the R707 point again or what?

I'm so confused, could someone please point me in the right direction please?

I too am in the same boat as you and from what I can gather after read snippets here and there is to
flash back to original firmware then update your console via live ,then read and save new FW , then reflash with LT-1.9 when available = best protection available ATM .
You Dvd key will not change ..so you can skip the probe ...but you still will need to read and save your new updated firmware in jungleflash for future reff.


Remember Dummy.bin is not the same as OFW so you need to spoof the info from your Dummy to original .......if you have your full original firmware dump ,then just refash, update,re-read and save,then flash LT-1.9.
I only have a dummy.bin file (most peeps will be in this same boat) from my sons liteon flash so I think it`s just a case of
 
1: Load dummy.bin file via source in Jungleflash, load original firmware in target and hit, spoof source to target, save this file and flash back to liteon.
2: Update via live.
3: Read my new firmware via jungle flash and save in a safe place.
4:Flash back liteon with LT-1.9
5:Cross your fingers and hope for the best ..when the next ban wave arrives....

Make sure you have your DVD key, if you want to go on Live then accept the update after flashing your drive back to stock.  Then leave it as stock and play your originals on live until LT1.9 is released.

If you want to continue playing your backups then you need to ignore the update for now but obviously forget about Live.

Either way, do not flash back to LT+1.1 after the update, this is not safe as has already been stated by many.

Since i've had enough PM's asking for it i figured i'd just post the 0251 firmware here for those who have updatyed and then flash LT+ and want to re-stock there updated drive.

How do you read the FW after updating? Can you just hook it up to the latest JF and hit what?

So the only way to get the firmware once updated is to do the MRA hack, is that the only way?

To do a full firmware dump of a lite-on you need to MRA (cut tracks) hack your drive.  However now you have the firmware that naydog has uploaded, all you need is your key from your drive, which is readable with JF (the latest version).  You inject that into your new stock firmware and you are done, back to 02510C.  Await the LT+1.9.
