lizard will never standalone, it currently requires pc for hitachi and slim 9504
"less flashing time" you must be kidding,
check out side by side speed tests x360usbpro wins by a mile.
"easiest for Phats" the poor chip in the lizard needs 1.8 to pmt.
hence the need for clips onto the 1.8v voltage regulator,
replacements regulators are available at lizard resellers,
I prefer not to have to replace smc unless I have to.

Standard inquiry isn't different.

Also, to they guy that said TB pwns JF ... So why do Maximus' team (inc vgc,) agree JF and its guide is what they aspire to. That Toolbox is for prepping fw onlt etc.

Also, with standalone you wont need toolbox, makes no sence to make it pretty

lizard will NEVER be standalone for all drives. Ever. Ask them yourself

lizard is the ones causing most of the errors - how many bricks has it caused ? ever sat in their irc channel and seen how many people screwed up their drives with no help or response ?
lizard can't even badflash / unbrick without taking the dvd drive apart and using a probe - X360USB PRO does all that no problem
lizard is 20x slower than the X360USB PRo - its not even funny
ever flashed a lizard with LT+ and then done a comparison of the fw that C4E intended ? noticed any differences ?

have you seen the lizard mistakes when flashing slims ?
why does it take 4 mins just to read the DVD key on a slim (not the entire fw that X360UBS PRO does in seconds)
why are lizard / toolbox users having to redump their firmware? why do they have users that have screwed up their firmware and keys ? can toolbox fix that or is it Jungle Flasher that can fix that ?

can the lizard hack 360 HDD's

JF sees a drive for what it inquires as... Exactly as the xbox360 does. There is no bug.

What JF shows in Port Properties is exactly what its being told by the drive, this is how spoofing works/worked.

We can sort this now..

0x58 means the drive is asserting DRQ.. meaning it has or wants data... This is because the code c4 added to sector 3e000, uses the unlock routine in a modified way to read the flash... So basically, if your first attempt failed before the 3e000 sector was restored then the Unlock routine will not be unlocking but actually requesting a flash dump....

Soooo, C4 added an unlock of his own in the modified state. This can be accessed using the key combo ctrl + shift + f9. So:
1. power cycle the drive,
2. ctrl + shit + f9
3. click intro ... should just work and give device ID ( money is on it being winbond)
4. load your CFW or OFW and click write, with the new delays added in 1.82, it should work fine first go..

First off, thank you very much for helping.

I followed your steps and it did unlock the drive (status 72). However I dont have the OFW since I was never able to unlock the drive. Instead I clicked READ for step 4. JF came up with unknown f/w !. At which point I had an hourglass cursor so all I could do was exit.

Log and screen shot below.

Any help is appreciated

OK, I'm not entirely sure where it went wrong on the first attempt..

BUT

if ctrl + shift + f9 worked its certain JF has been here before..

try this

1. Power cycle
2. ctrl + shift + f9
3. Slimkey
4. *** say NO ***
5. should intro and grab key etc and save a dummy.bin
