Yes, it works. Slim drive returns 0x72 status on Intel NM10 chipset. (PC config: Intel Atom 525, mini ITX)
You should just run drive, then run DosFlash32 1.9.
After this, you can do LiteOn Key V3 to get your key.

Maybe, there are another chipsets what allow you to dump key. Try and reply! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

THIS NOT ALLOW YOU TO FULL READ AND WRITE DRIVE

This method is used in Maximus Lizard and X360 Pro USB

Wait ARY...in the begining you tel us that you used a PMT method to get the 0225 liteon into the vendor mode!!! now you are telling us that we just need to connect the drive & lunch the dosflash 1.9 to get the drive into vendor mode !!!!

DosFlash16 1.9 tested:

WORKS:
Intel - ICH8, ICH9, NM10 and higher. Maybe ICH7
JMB - all internal
Silicon - maybe all

DON'T WORKS:
Nforce - all
VIA - all
JMB - external PCI-E can't see the drive

More tests soon.

DosFlash32 works just one time after PC's loads (this issues on Win 7, XP maybe works normal)

Try in DOS.
Also, you need IDE compatible mode on SATA.
Try different ports, on my tester's PC only 2 (there are 6 ports) ports work with 0225

Hye ARY...great work brother but tel me as I know the DVD key dump from liteon 0225 is arleady possible with Trablinda v0.4...the problem is the dull dump & the write because for full dump we need to change codes into the original firmware....
So what's new in this case ?? is-it the 0x72 status

? I don't have a 0225 drive but I am asking if to dump drives Tarablinda get drives into 0x72 status

You didn't answer my question ?? is this need a PMT like you said before or there is nothing to do to get drive in vendor mode

Also did it on AMD 770 + AMD SB710. I was able to read the key very easy but I couldn't dump the firmware. Also, tried to spoof a 16D2S with the key above but without any success("Play DVD). I guess that all the dashboards older than 9199 detect the spoofed drives.
