Hey up I'm aware of that, I was just pointing out that consoles are still being sold with Lite-on drives. His post made it sound like they were out of production. If mine has an MFR or late jan 2011, then there must be a massive number of liteon slims still available. Or are they becoming pretty rare? Maybe I got lucky, just can't see it with that MFR date though?

My guess is that shitatchi was used when liteon was out of stock from the factory.
To meet demands espalily around christmas.
Its a common thing among electronic manufactuers.
