YOU CANNOT SPOOF LT+ TO ANY DIFFERENT DRIVE VERSIONS IT CAN BE DETECTED ON THE NEW DASH
you need a benq drive to be safe
tsk tsk.
as long as the to-spoof drive supports the same feature set as the OSIG's feature set, you can spoof.
if { ( supportsAP25(OSIG) && supportsAP25(to-spoof-drive) ) ||
( !supportsAP25(OSIG) && !supportsAP25(to-spoof-drive) )
} { success } else { fail }
given,
i've only -successfuly- spoofed benQ's as liteon's, but i have done it. on new dash. and played a backup of an AP25 game, so i have not tested the full conditional above.
others have done more testing. it'd be nice if there was a sticky on this -- someone had put together this in a more succinct/tabular fashion somewhere in this forum.
that said, it's most safe for folks who aren't that in tune with the workings of the scene to not spoof. if you spoof incorrectly on the new dash, you'll AP25-flag your console (and potentially get a live-ban if you went online while the AP25-flag was set) and the only way to remove it would be to dump nand/fix secdata/flash nand.
