I've recently updated a BenQ from LT 1.2 to LT+ 1.1 and after the upgrade it doesn't read any games. They often boot into DVD-video mode telling me to insert the disc into a Xbox360.

If I downgrade to LT 1.2 again, the games work great. But if I put the LT+ 1.1 back on, none of the games I've tried boots.

The BenQ drive is the stock drive, but the Xbox has been sent in for repair and I don't know if the motherboard is stock?

I've used latest Jungleflasher and I have the latest Kinetic dashboard.

When it didn't work, I used the original FW to create a new LT+ but that didn't matter.

It's not my first flash, I've done about 40 Xbox360s.


Most of the games I've tried are old games. Can there be a problem with patches of the games? Are LT+ 1.1 less likely to boot a old unpatched game than LT 1.2?

There shouldn't be a problem with the BenQ reading discs since it works great with LT 1.2 right? I've also done the Tweak and the pot is set to 3.4k ohms (3.8k before tweak).


What should I do? The Xbox is probably banned, and I don't care about live at all. I want Ap2.5 games to boot though.

is it the official dashboard update from xbox.com?
I have people telling me that they have the kinect dasboard but i still plug in my usb and it updates again with the official dashboard system update

Thanks for the tip hardie! I have no idéa. It's not my Xbox, I don't even own a Xbox.

I guess I could google these questions, but maybe you or someone else has time to answer anyway?

1. How do I check which version I have of the dashboard?
2. Which way is easiest to upgrade the dashboard? Download to a USB stick would be great if that's possible?
3. Which version is the latest and prefered?
4. Are there any reports that LT+ 1.1 doesn't work on some older dashboards, on which LT 1.2 works?

You don't have to know what version of the dash you have to flash the drive.

Thanks for answering so I didn't have to. I also didn't know how to pair a controller with the console, never had to use one.

Same here! I have done 3 benqs and all have trouble reading games. I think something is wrong with LT plus 1.1 on benqs. All lite-ons and hitachis are fine!

Tweaked BenQ laser.
I checked the dash version, 12611.
Tried to update by USB anyway but nothing shows up when I boot with USB stick. Fine.
Downloaded JungleFlasher v0.1.78 Beta (183)
Downloaded iXtreme-LT_Plus_Firmware.Pack.rar from BenQ map instead of LiteOn map.
Erased drive
Flashed drive with original FW.
Created new LT+ from original FW.
Flashed drive.
Tried 6 games and all played as DVD movie.
Greated new LT 1.2 from orignal FW
Tried 6 games and all played as DVD movie!!!!!

This is when I realized that Micro$oft changed the DVD key when they repaired the Xbox (or maybe changed drive to another BenQ).

Used the key from the dump I made after the Xbox were sent in for repair and LT+ works great!


Sorry to bother you guys with this stupid mistake. First mistake like this I've made, and I've been doing this since the Samsung ms25 was hacked.

What have I learned? To be even more careful. That a Xbox with the wrong DVD key plays all games as movies!


360modzrus: Hope you get your BenQs to work as well. Make sure you have the correct .hex, latest dash and tweak the laser if needed. Good luck!

well why you use LT+1.1, use LT+v1 they are same

What's new/fixed:
- xbox 1 backup support (iXtreme compatible, DVD9 only)
- improved pfi support

I need to know why v1 worked perfectly fine and then updating to 1.1 made
my 3 benqs barely read disks! Not only AP25 but some games that are before AP25.

Yes all games went through and check out ok in ABGX
and those same games play in Lite-on drives just fine with 1.1

man who plays shiti xbox1 games seriously,and  about that pfi support you always should use good DL discs like verbatim or traxdata,not some cheap discs
