Thats really strange. A friend of mine sent his for repair a while back still modded (dvd drive). MS fixed it and returned the drive still modded.    Maybe they didn't like that you opened it.

It wasn't opened.  The warranty sticker was still intact.  I only opened it up AFTER they sent it back to me un-repaired

So let me get this straight here..... are people getting banned on live with a hitachi 79 flashed with ixtreme 1.51 playing an AP2.5 game(such as NFS:HP) Has a ban wave gone out yet after the new dashboard update? Basically Im just wondering if people are really getting banned yet with this new AP2.5. I haven't heard much about people getting banned, and I do not want to go through the hassle of flashing my drive to the new LT+ if I do not have to. My drive currently plays AP2.5 games fine offline, and I am going to be getting a xbl membership again pretty soon here, so I need to know what to do.

Any idea why LT+ 1.1 for Benq is not on Xbins?

Just checked now and it's still not out there.

When I read these threads, I am laughing always, because some idiot claimed the AP25 data could not be implemented on a disc and there are infinite checks.  Now we are on LT 1.1 and where are those infinite checks?

 I dunno but the Benq LT+ 1.1 i think has something wrong with it. Did 3 of them and all have
trouble reading disks now, pain to get it going. Lite-ons Hitachis all fine its just the benqs!

No probs with my Benq drive running LT+1.1, reads any disc thrown at it but all I use are Verbatim media so maybe there are troubles with cheaper media maybe?

I've just updated my Benq to LT-Plus 1.1 today and it's having a bit of trouble. I was playing a backup game earlier (with LT Plus) and it was working fine. Updated the firmware and tried to go back to playing the game, but it won't read this backup disk anymore - just tries to read for a while, then says 'Open Tray'.

It's obviously not the drive or the media I'm using because a) they're the same drive and media I was using this morning and it was working and I've since flashed back to LT Plus and it's working again.

I've got another Benq drive from a 3RL console and tried that one as well - the results are the same. It will play the game from this morning if it has LT Plus firmware, but not if it has LT Plus 1.1 firmware.

I've tried about 5 other backups as well - they all work with either firmware. So far it's only one game that I'm having problems with, but I'm going to work my way through my other backups and see if there are any others it has problems with.
