Game Patching Tutorial?

Are there game patching tutorials out there?  I am really new to this, and need some help.  I noticed that in DVD2xbox, you have a "patch file from" option... Not sure how to get it to work, it never see's the patch files I have.  Anyway, any help would be greatly apprechiated!!!!!! Thanks guys!

do not get into game hacking of any kind if you even cant figure out the meaning of this particular dvd2xbox feature

Okay, um, thanks I guess.  Just asking a simple question, didn't really need a negative response to it.   The problem is, that when I try to run the patch, the only thing featured in the patch screen is NFLFever2004, which I have never even had on my xbox at anytime.  Maybe someone a little more understanding to "Noobs" can help me, and you can stop waisting your time replying and talking down to people.  Have a good weekend.

It is a "patching" that has NOTHING to do with Hacking or running Hacks.
