I've read the thread and didn't see an issue similar to mine...

Since LT+ got out I've reflashed quite number of 360s, but the very first two weren't perfect.

I used JF 1.76 and the first one couldn't run AP2.5 games. I haven't had an AP2.5 (it was burning at that time) game and tried with the customer's one, so I decided that he might not patched it well. The second 360 gave E64 once, and after reflash worked fine, but I still didn't have a copy to test (he later had no problem with ap2.5 games). All other 360s were flashed flawlessly with 1.76. No errors, no nothing.

But the first one couldn't run any ap2.5 game. I've tested it with a game I ran on all other 360s, and several other working ap2.5 games. No luck. It runs old games perfectly but no ap2.5 as if it was with LT, not LT+.

I've flashed the drive several times with 1.76, 1.74, dosflash. I've used a test drive and the original drive (both lite on) with no luck. Sometimes the damn thing gets into E64 when powering on and I even changed the sata cable to be sure, but no luck.

The drive is 83850c liteon version 1.

Tomorrow I'll test it in a colleague's shop to see if he can flash it, but I'll appreciate any ideas

hey man thanks a lot! i saw this and went ahead and updated my lite-on 74850 from lt1.0 to lt+.  i wasnt sure if i was going to have to do the mra trick or what... but when i saw what you wrote, i did it and it worked great.

Well I just flashed my box with iprep

I tested and ran AC:B

It ran and booted fine. I did offline update with the disk. The only concern I have is what the differences between MS 12611.zip and the updates on the disk

I have a Beyond Compare app, and did a rules based comparisons with the AC:B $SystemUpdate and the offline update i downloaded from M$ 12611.zip

The updated didn't match.

Still, I'm tempted to go online with this box but like many, I'm waiting for the ban hammer to fall before going online.

I am asking this question because I don't see anywhere that it has been answered clearly.

Is there some sort of offline ban if I use a spoofed drive to play AP2.5 games on the new dashboard using LT+ that will not allow me to play backups ever again?


Clarification: I have a Benq spoofed to a Liteon because the Liteon drive won't read discs. I've found posts in this thread where people have said that they are able to play NFS:HP while spoofed this same way. C4EVA has stated that drive spoofs can be detected. Does this detection mean that my console will be flagged online and offline and I will not be able to boot any backups from then on?

Answers to these questions need to be clearer:

1. What does C4E mean when he says that spoofed drives can be detected? Detected by XBLIVE? Detected by the console? Detected by the firmware? Is it logged in XVAL?

2. If using a spoofed drive, does LT+ not protect us from an AP2.5 violation? What exactly are the possible consequences of using a Benq drive spoofed to Lite-on with the LT+ firmware?

3. If an AP2.5 violation is logged in our console, will it cease to be able to boot backups?

4. If I cannot play backups, will I still be able to play my originals?

5. Has M$ finally decided to irreversibly ban us from playing backups both online and offline?

please don't flame me, I am simply trying to get clarification for all of us.

1. A spoofed drive can be detecetd by the new dashboard, so in your terms the console will detect it, consequences are disc will not boot & console could be flagged by banning.

2. Spoofed drives with LT+ FW will not boot backups

5. Maybe..... the red button doesn't appear to have been activated yet?

Your best bet is to grab a replacement drive from one of the many sources across the internet & inject your unique key into the LT+ FW then flash that to the new Liteon drive, good luck

ffs, you're just plain wrong. Why do people persist in spreading disinformation? Spoofed LT+ drives will boot backups, but c4e says they're not safe for Live, that's all.

First off THANK YOU C4 for the LT+ and all other firms, you rock!

I have a liteon with ixtreme 1.5 and use the 0800 disc to boot newer wave games. I'm running kinect dash beta with no ap25 checks. If I flash the firm and update to newest dash can I use the 0800 to skip the disc check? I assume not and prob have to patch the 2 games that I have that include ap25. Can someone confirm?

Why there hasn't already been a banwave is a mystery in itself especially since they have solid evidence already and xvals have been modified on some consoles by ap25.

Theyre gearing up for something nasty, I can feel it.

I really read all statements to the new situation but I just couldn't find an answer to my question.

Situation; I installed the new dashboard update but so far I did not play game with the AP2.5 check, so as a conclusion my console is flagged. I checked my drive and it's a Liteon or BenQ (does not matter which one, same result).

So if I flash the new LT+-firmware to my drive, the Flag will be gone? Or will it still be there and though the new firmware will do its work, I won't be able to play newer games with AP2.5 Check?

You'd find an answer if you checked the other threads, but

to check if you're flagged, use xval 2.0 tool (google it)

upgrading to the new dash doesn't automatically = flag

playing a new ap2.5 game on new dash on a liteon / benq / 78/79 hitachi without lt+ flashed = flag

upgrading to lt+ will NOT erase existing flags, you'll still be flagged which almost certainly means you're marked to be banned, upgrading will only allow you to play new ap2.5 games and to keep an existing clean nand / xval

Ok, thx for this answer. flag check reports that i'm not flagged, as far as I don't play any backups with AP2.5. This fact saves me from buying a new box.
