Americanv8 has your console got a hard drive installed or just internal memory on the motherboard? Ive seen another post somewhere stating they were able to play Fable 3 fine and their update was onto the internalmemory. As soon as they introduced a hard drive/memory card it stopped working. I'll try and find the post and link to it.

Here it is:
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/lofiversion/i...hp/t723692.html

It also mentions that ACBH might have a newer version of the dashboard...however as I stated I wasn't forced to update. This person though did their 2nd update with ACBH and I did mine with Kinnect Sports. Perhaps the update on Kinect Sports is slighly different to ACBH but prevents ACBH from forcing an update maybe? I'll stick the burnt dvds of ACBH and Kinect Sports through abxg and see what it says.

Its got a 120Gb HDD attached

I have successfully played a backup of AC Brotherhood (actually just booted to game menu, then I exited) on a lite-on 7 series drive with LT 1.1 that I flashed.. But it doesn't work on 2 other xboxes I flashed with LT 1.1. One a 8 series and the other a 9-series LiteOn.

Update to kinect dash was made from Kinect Adventures on the 7 series box.
Update to kinect dash was made from ACBH on the 8 series box.
Update to kinect dash was (probably) made from xbox live on the 9 series box.

Ok from everything thats been written on this it seems that the most succeful method seems to be:

1) Update should be carried out on Kinnect adventures then either Kinectimals or Kinnect Sports.
2) No hard drive should be installed...the update should be applied to internal memory (which means your bang our of luck unless you have an arcade model, however memory card might work).
3) You may have to use an offline local profile instead of an xbox live one.

You can remove # 2 from the list. I have the 20Gb hdd attached on the working one. But another weird thing is that it HAS to be attached now, I cannot remove the hdd and play. I can't even put in another hdd or USB memory and play. I keep getting an error that an update is required and that I need to connect to XB Live, an update from a USB och game disc will not do.

LOL! well that plot thickens then! It seems there is no exact proven way to get it to work. Its just that the method mentioned a few posts above seems to be the most successful....the best bet is just to hold out for a couple of weeks for LT+ unless you have an already banned xbox and are desperate to play backups of your ap2.5 games.

would be easier if you could just download, burn and install the required dash update 2.12611.0

After reading on here, my understanding is that we need the kinect adventures disc and then 1 of the kinectimals or kinect sports disc. Is this working for everyone?

Just updated the dash and the newer games still don't work for me.

You are correct. You start with 8199 dash, run update from Kinect Adventures, run update from Kinectimals, and the run update from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood or Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. I just did this a few minutes ago on my jasper arcade unit that was using its original lite-on 74850c.

There are links floating around on the web with the updates from Kinect Adventures and Kinectimals in case people don't have them.

Ahh. Yeah this method is only for those with an 8199 dash. I kept the old dash when I heard people having trouble with Fable III on the beta dash. Guess I did the right thing for the time being.

I know it is posted everywhere, but in case people don't realize, make sure you backup your nand before attempting any of these tests! I'm not sure why so many people are eager to run AP2.5 games and ban their boxes? If your box is already banned, then testing it cant hurt.
