And this happens to a whole lot of Samsung. It's more of a hit or miss thing, for samsung to be able to play AP3.5 games.

So,  based on what u've said, samsung drives do need a new firmware, or some kind of update! if I can play the original...

Unfortunately yes, since most of them cant play AP2.5 games, in spite of not having the AP2.5 protection within themselves.

But will it come out with the new LT+ or c4eva is not working on it yet?

Talking about later hitachi, he said "maybe".
I guess the same is about Samsung.
But I'm sure sooner or later the need for one will be obvious, and it'll come out.

I am sure lots of people will be happy to hear that.

Yeah but that doesn't say that your console won't still be flagged after update to LT+ which means that if going to live = a BAN

It just says yes you will be able to play those games after wink.gif

But i can't play AC on my samsung, why? I've got the original...and it gives me that stupid disc error...

QUOTE(StrYker @ Nov 20 2010, 06:12 PM) View Post

Could you please explain why?

I am currently on 1.5 on MS28 banned box, will an update to LT work just fine for AP2.5 titles to work?

I am quite baffled by these reports. As far as I have read, there is no 'hit and miss' situation regarding a drive that is incapable of responding to an AP2.5 request.  Please could someone who fully understands it explain why people are now saying that some Samsungs work and some don't.

I can only assume that the people who say their Samsung drive won't play AP2.5 titles have got a spoofed drive - i.e. their console originally shipped with a drive capable of AP2.5 (and this fact is stored in the NAND), but it was swapped for one which isn't.

Alternatively, certain original Samsung FW revisions (was there even more than one revision?) are indeed capable of AP2.5.

If you play the original, you're fine. So you indeed can play it. You just can't play a backup of it.

I do know many friends and acquaintances whose Samsung has never been spoofed who cant play a single AP2.5 game. Although no flag from trying. Some with more and some with less recent models.

I simply can't play it...and I'm not flagged yet...however, a year ago I needed to change my drive because the other one broke, and I think the broken one was hitachi, and I bought a samsung drive to replace it...Is that the problem? I don't think so  unsure.gif

My v1 Xenon was stuck on a System Update Stopped loop.

Kinect Beta Dashboard (2.0.12416.0) on USB Stick successfully updated.

ACB on MS28 iXtreme 1.5 with Activate DVD works just fine. Did not prompt to update.

Update: Only worked in with Offline Profile, no HDD just a Memory Unit. Installed to HDD with Banned XboxLive Account Profile and it prompts to do update. From other posts and italian scene, Sports Update must be applied after beta in order to bypas AP 2.5 prompt.

So the fat Liteon drives are first.. Does that mean that Benq will be around the same time?

Aren't the Benq and Liteon drives similar?
