The best way to get it on front page is to make a new thread, think of a really clever but short title for the thread and the instructions you already gave are perfect. Unless there is already a dedicated thread about this.

I am thinking of trying this on a x360 slim that i installed a original lite-on board inside. I sold it to a friend but i might get him to bring it over, serously if this works on a slim with a lo board swap i will be very impressed!

See what I mean? Even now you're the only one who dared to notice and answer. ehehe
From what I know, it should work fine in slims with their original drive, but I think there was one guy who had some problem with spoofed drive in his slim.

Remember this method only works if you have not updated to the kinect dashboard, but still have the old one (9199) or earlier.

If you have a dash earlier than the 9199, update to the 9199 using THIS update

1-Install update Kinect adventure. Unzip the file UPDATE-KINECT-ADVENTURES.rar, place it on a pendrive formatted in FAT32, place it on the console and turn on.
The new dashboard will be the 2.0.12413.0

2-Delete the folder from the pendrive, and unzip the second file UPDATE-KINECT-ANIMALS.rar

3-Install update Kinect animals, in the same way as above.
The new dashboard will be the 2.0.12416.0

4. Install the this kinect update (it's the update from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood)

And that's it. You can play to any game, old or new, AP2.5 and not.
And XVal still clean!

i have a benq spoofed as liteon, dash is 8955 or whatever, will this work for me ?

also what's the proper method for ripping ap 2.5 games ?  don't we need a new 0800 fw ? and xbc ?

or will the current 0800 fw an xbc rip it properly too ?

can someone knowledgable answer this ?

QUOTE(tiko_maierhoffer @ Nov 22 2010, 08:10 PM) *

Sorry, but No, it won't work.

what ? i was under the asumption that it would work ?

i asked the same question an a few people told me, benq spoofd as liteon would work with ap 2.5/lt+

hmmm kinda confused here...

thanks for any help.

I opened a new thread here.
Anyway, yes it works also in your drive. Follow the instruction to update to 9199 and start from there.
You can play the games in SS2, since there's no AP2.5 in the beta dash, it wont make any SS3 checks. It's just like Fable 3, that works on the old dash with no problem.

May I ask one critical question? Those of us who still use ixtreme 1.5 and patch our games down to wave 2... will we be able to play those games with the new lt+ or are we screwed?

You're not. You will still be able to play downgraded wave games on LT+.

I just tried this and it works! You don't even need to do step 4, just install the first two updates and then install the update from AC:B or NFS:HP and you're good to go.

If im unsure of the AP2.5 status of a game can I just put it in system and then just not try to play it if it comes up as play dvd on the dashboard tile?

Will it give me a dirty xval if I dont actually try to boot it?

It worked for me too! Benq drive with iextreme 1.4, game (AC B ) patched for wave 3, working like a charm! Since i don't play on live, this is the perfect solution for me.
ps: i used the beta dash posted earlier.

The third update is needed by those with old iXtreme who need to patch.
A patched game wont work.

They are a new version of Slim. They have this 0225 fw, and not the more common 935. This 0225 is not compatible with iXtreme or LT+, since it's a completely different fw. These console, also, are at the moment unmoddable, since their fw is read only. Steer away from these slims.
They are quite recent and uncommon, but I guess they'll grow in number. Most of them appeared in bundle with kinect, but some also individually sold.

I was going to ask the same question.  Just bought a 360 Slim 250 (Kinnect bundle).  I thought it was a slim version liteon drive.  Shite tell me the '0225' is not a liteone dvd drive that can't be flashed with lt+ when it comes out.

Just read your post.  Any easy way of telling if my dvd drive has the '0225' fw ?

Actually it's impossible to tell till you hack into it, and find every writing communication locked.
I dont think they found any other way so far to detect them at sight. But the fact you got the bundle doesnt necessarely mean you got a 0225. As I was saying, they're still uncommon.

I am a little confused by this. the new release (ap25) of fable 3, and then later saying lt+ will protect you anyway from ap25. does this mean that games will have to be fixed in abgx (or some other way) and reburnt?
