cant understand what to make of it all, abgx360 latest version can detect ap25 but it doesnt detect fable 3 as ap25 ???

thats because according to c4e, the flag on the xex is irrelevant. abgx can tell you that a game is ap2.5, but it can't tell you that a game isn't ap2.5

I just ran AGB 1.03 on my ripped copy of Assassins Creed Brotherhood and it shows "AntiPiracy25 Media" in yellow letters. I ran it on Fable 3 and it checks out fine.

So, is Fable 3 truly AP25?

I used Benq 0800 with S360X 4.1

yes. that is what i was saying. abgx can confirm that a game like assassin's creed is ap2.5, but because the ap2.5 flag is relatively meaningless, you can have an ap2.5 game without it. when that happens, as in fable's case, you get an ap2.5 game that abgx can't detect.

currently, the only way to know for sure if a game is ap2.5 (that doesn't say ap2.5 in abgx), is to try and boot it on the newest dashboard with a benq/liteon dvd drive

I have not tried booting any AP2.5 games at all yet.

No, AP2.5 games do not boot on the new dashboard unless you have an old hitachi or samsung. You are correct about it flagging your console but only if you have a benq or liteon. Hitachi and samsung skip ap2.5 so they do not get flagged.

Thank you for the clarification!

I have one more question.

I get that if I TRY to boot an AP2.5 game on LT Liteon/BenQ with new dashboard, then it will 1)Not boot AND 2)flag it.

Will it flag the console even if I am NOT on XBL? The reason I ask is - Can I be offline and try to boot a new game (on new dashboard) to try to find out if it has AP2.5?

Welcome to Dashboard banning...

AP2.5 uses the Kinetic dash to flag you offline now, you try and boot an AP game and the checks fail your console is flagged.  You can check the status of your console using the XVAL app, google it.

hey guyz ..
i need sum serious help
i have a samsung drive ... i flashed it like a year ago.. dunno which firmware it was.. but it was c4e sumthing.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
i have downloaded NFS hotpursuit  and i also heard it is sum ap2.5(never heard of tht before) - gotten myself banned from xbox-scene for asking for help on pirated material
and also i haven;t updated to new dashboard update..also i dont use LIVE at all only offline gaming
my question is wht shall i do before i insert the disc in the tray...

Use the search option honostly, I don't think anyone should deserve a reply to those questions anymore, it's been posted a hundred times. READ before you post.
