OK, I just want to get on the same page as everyone here.

I have the V1 and flashed the lite on drive with JUST JF and didnt need any additional mods.

Im pretty sure I have my original key but if not.  Then these are my steps for when the LT+ comes right?

-Read out the current key from the drive (ixtreme 1.6) using JF
- Mod that extracted dummy bin file with the new LT+
- erase, and flash new one on right?

If I have the original key from the drive then I can skip all that right?  And just go right to the merging LT+ with the dummy.bin and erasing and flashing right?

Thanks!

Yeah I feel for you man. I get the same exact thing in jungleflasher aside from the 85050 that yours shows in the log. Have you tried using dosflash32's Liteon dvd key option?

Doc, I think you got your posters mixed up. I'm actually the thread starter, the pictures you looked at are mine. Riverram however, is having pretty much the same issue as me though.

as allready mentioned once a liteon has LT regardless of what model it is the only way to dumpthe key is via the MRA hack. ALL LT firmwares are based on 9 series liteons. so the drive in effect becomes a 9 series liteon and means the only way to dump is via MRA hack. you can try with probes and half open trays all day you wont get anywhere. save yourself some time and read up on the MRA Boxxdr thread about where to go from here

Ok, but if you already have your dummy.bin from the first dump, then you never really need to read the FW again right?

yeah if ya have your dummy you can reuse over and over. you dont need any special tools to flash the drive only to extract the key but the dummy contains all the info needed. but this thread is he has no dummy and he's been told he can dump with the half open tray coz its an 8 series liteon but he cant as its allready got LT on it.

but you are safe and this thread shows how important it is to get a copyof your key and then burn it to cd. then email it to yourself. then store it on hard drive. then email it to yourself again. ya get the idea lol

hetster hits the nail on the head, yet again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I print out the DVDkey and stick it to the underside of the drive. and email the dummy.bin to myself, and back it up to a portable hard drive and USB stick.

Interesting stuff. When my xbox was modded I was told that he would email it to me, never did and it unfortunately slipped my mind. Alright I suppose I'll look into the mra hack some and see what thats all about. Appreciate all the info.

Ok.  So what if the orginal dummy.bin is lost but you DONT have the LT firmware?

If you have the Ixtreme with a dump-able drive, you can still get the key right?

if you have ixtreme then yes you can power on with the tray half open and use the dummy from ixtreme option. but as soon as you flash to LT you lose key extraction without MRA hack so be sure to keep the dummy created from ixtreme safe
