If I have a Samsung or a Hitachi that are "Immune" to AP2.5, do they have to be the original drive? Or will they still skip AP2.5 if they are spoofed as the original drive (IE: Lite-on)?

 i think you'll find, no spoofing allowed, valid drives for a 360 that has the osig for that class of drive.

ie original samsumg drive on a 360 that has osig for that drive

Well I have a lite-on drive with lt, I updated to the new dash and and you know the rest. I dont ever play on live, all I want to do is play the game. I took a Hitachi out of my old rrod its a 58/59 or whatever, I flash the lite on key to the hitachi drive and tried it in the xbox, still gets same disc read error, but the old games wave 6 and below are fine, Anyway, I know you cant get around it that way. If there is anything to do to bypass this I dont care how because I never hook to the internet. I just want something that will work.

u can only play ap 2.5 games on a hl or a ts drive

but that drive has to be the orig. drive that was in that xbox

not lite on or ben q spoofed as hl or ts

but if u have a xbox that orig had a hl or a ts drive in it then u can use a ben q or lite on spoofed as a hl or a ts drive

when u have a hl or a ts drive the ap 2.5 is skipped cuz the drive doesnt support it

does everyone get it now......

yea i understand completely, because thats what I did, I spoofed the hitachi to lite-on, but it doesnt work that way, so basically if you have a lite-on or you have to spoof another drive to be lite-on it will not work.

I have a 120GB elite with a dead Hitachi 79FL...spoofing a Samsung MS28 as Hitachi

have been running new dashboard for a week, I have put a backup of fable 3 in the drive...have not launched it though as im too afraid but it showed up as normal.

Xval clean, no dirty disc errors so far.


now I know this is not 100% concrete evidence but there might be a good chance even the 79 cant read AP2.5
