I'm not really sure if there's much "news" here, but its good to know that they are sure Fable 3 is the only one with ap 2.5 right now, still. It still seems very much that cards are being played close to their chest. Since there is no updates via the TeamJungle twitter recently, I'm assuming the firmware hasn't really even reached some sort of private testing phase, and quite possibly are waiting for more ap 2.5 games TO be released to do some firmware checking.

It is still unclear if it will be be possible to come out with a safe LT+. If MS indeed changes the AP2.5 checks or randomly updates them often, it would be very hard to code these checks in a ss3 database for every backup. Only time will tell. I'm also curious about the sammy drives. It doesn't seem like C4eva is even making a LT+ firmware for samsung drives. Anyone know if this is correct? I know they are not capable of ap2.5 checks, but surely there is some additional checks that may require an update even on sammy drives?

I also have a unit with an older samsung drive, so I shall be using that for anything with AP2.5 ...as for my lite-on 93450c I booted a back up of Sims 3 yesterday, then only to find vast rumour that it incorporated AP2.5, which going by c4eva's advice simply isn't true.

I will be glad when LT+ is released and I can calm down  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I don't often kiss arse, but c4e bloody deserves it doesn't he?  I can't wait to see what he comes out with on ps3. Jailbreak was a step forward - but not very stable.
Sounds like LT+ is complete to me, but I applaud his decision to delay release for more testing, it has to be as near to perfect as poss. I'd love to see it pre xmas but if it aint ready then it aint ready, simple as that.

So the Dashboard update is safe as long as we will play old ssv2wave6 backups (prior Fable 3) which have passed abgx check. And avoid title updates as they can bring AP25 security checks.

Correct?

As far as I understand, there's no yet known negative consequences if the games are played the way I wrote above. Right?

Yes you are right there are no 'known' negative consequences playing the games the way you wrote. Doesn't however mean that none will be discovered in the future...just stick it out and wait for the new firmware. Would you rather not have xbox live for a couple of months or forever?

Am I correct with my understanding.

1) We need to update to the new dashboard to play Kinect Games
2) This introduces AP2.5
3) The only game using AP2.5 at present is Fable 3

Does that mean if I upgrade my dashboard all my extisting games will work with the exception of Fable 3.
Doing this will then allow me to play the Kinect games.
