Help Getting Vendor Mode After Installing Lt Switch
« on: November 09, 2010, 04:44:00 PM »

Hi everyone, I sent my lite-on 93450 to have an LT switch v1.5 installed and to get it flashed because I could not get it into vendor mode.  My question is what should I buy to help get it into vendor mode again if I need to update the firmware or go back to stock firmware?  Thanks!

As long as you have your drive dump all you need from now on is just a PC with a SATA port and Jungle Flasher.

If you dont want to power the drive by your console then you may want to get some type of connectivity kit to power the drive using the PC's power supply.

Really?  So what is the best way to get it into vendor mode so I can write the firmware?  I've getting vendor mode using these instructions and never got it.

So you already have the firmware dump and have already created a proper LT firmware for your drive?

If that is the case then just open Jungle Flasher then go to MTKFlash 32 tab and hit the Lite-On erase button.

This will erase your drive and put it into vendor mode so you can write your firmware to it.

But just remember if you are not 100% sure you already have your correct firmware dump before you hit the lite-on erase button then dont do it because once you hit that button your drives firmware and key will be erased.

Hi there!

First of all, sorry to bust into this threat. I got a question associated and so we all save one less topic. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I got my drive flashed by a work buddy that no longer works in the same company. He flashed my 83850-V2 with LT 1.1.

The question is: What do I need to do to one day update the firmware? Or what do I need to know from him? I flashed some Benqs already and just didn't on my Lite-On because I and soldering just don't mix (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Thanks all!
Best regards
