Hacking The Default.xbe

Soooo ya, I read that you can hack the default.xbe file so that I could play Halo 1 with.... oh lets say a DDR Dance Mat.... useless, yes. Fun, even more! I have tried hex editing, but the game freezes when I load it up. Are there any guides/tools for this? Thanks in advance.

it was somewhere here (X-S), cant remember exactly where. But ya, I found the controller layout config (a-button jump, etc), but when I try to edit it, the game freezes...

nobody eh. sounded fake when i heard about it but then i found the button config and thought it might be possible. guess not... oh well...

...you shouldn't have to hex anything it should act like a normal controller and be able to play any game with the pad. Only problem is no L and R  tongue.gif

 You would also have to have 2 DDR pads hence 2 joysticks one to move and the other to look around. You could probably change the controller config in the game so A is shoot and B is reload but you just won't be able to look around unless you do some wire modifications wink.gif

i was gonna change like B or something to shoot, and have the left and right arrows set to turn left/right (as opposed to strafe left/right). Meh... It was just something i wanted to try on a rainy day. Haha, even my more nerdier friends woulda laughed at it  tongue.gif .
