Hi guys,

I'm new here, i come from a french community, and there's 2 things that seems to works, but we're not sure right now, not sure if it's really working, or if it's some kind of luck.

 - One guy (bulkanosaure) just updated the dashboard to 12611, by usb, without the dvd-rom plugged, and he was able to run every backup, even fable 3.

He tried this on his xenon, which hasn't got OSIG, Kernel 5787.

He managed to run backups with LiteOn, BenQ, Samsung, Hitachi, under LT FW and non LT.

It seems that it doesn't work with a different MB, not sure, he doesn't made it himself for the second box.

 - Another one (Davted) updated to 12611, put FW LT 1.0, then FW LT 1.1, then the original FW, and put again the FW LT 1.1, and then Fable 3 backup is running.
This was made on a jasper, liteon 84850 extrem 1.6
Edit : This second way was made just on one box for now, not tried yet on another one, too recent.

I just submit you this in case of it could help you, and to have your point of view on all of this.

Thanks
See y@

A simpe way to write-protect our NAND (only) for offline tests.
If we do that:
http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/Ek...ZpuCOUujZej.php
http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/Ek...kVpnCZQzlsH.php <- with IR controller
http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/Ek...yEuXPSHrjbV.php
http://img94.imageshack.us/f/schemi.png <- with interrupter

CAUTION: you need to undo the WP if you want to update the dash or if you want to change any system settings.

So, if we get an "Failed AP25 Challenge" and or NAND is write protected or X value won't change because the secdata.bin can't be modified.

I think it will be any way to read NAND, read secdata.bin, restore it to a previous state (like when we restore our banned hard drives) to restore our X value to a "Secdata is Clean" status.

Obviously, if you get the AP25 error when connected to xbox live or you connected to live after you get the error your console is flagged.

any opinions? any other theory?

So I know that playing ap2.5 will get you flagged even in offline status.  However, I have a box solely to play offline (as well as an online legit box), so my question is that this "flag" is on the console only and not on my profile (memory card) correct?

Wonder if anyone will brave Fighters Uncaged to see if it has ap2.5...

thx ahead of time if anyone can answer that for me   biggrin.gif

I could be wrong, but with the old method to "uncripple" your box, wasn't it was important to have not overwritten your secdata enough times that you didn't have a viable unflagged version of your secdata to revert to right? Just might be important to note that in case people who are AP 2.5 flagged want to nand edit their way out of it, if its even possible.

it would corrupt your gamertag on whichever device is saved on the console, whether its the HD or a mem card.  The whole point is to prevent people from gaining gamerpoints on a flagged console, then moving the gamertag to a legit console and updating their gamerscore.  If you could just save it on a mem card, that wouldn't work for arcade users, and would be way to easy of a workaround of consoles w/ hard drives.

I have incorrectlt reported that Fable 3 will work on JTAG :    IT WONT (At least by normal means) The .XEX may need special patching. I will figure-out how to do this and write a tut.

Also: I observed the Fable 3 disc looks phisically different to a normal disc, it has data out past the security layer on the edge of the disc (Compare for yourself and you will see what I mean) This will almost certainly mean it will have to be backed-up and ripped in a new manner (probably with new means also)

Also: I observed that Fable3 now has a 4mb TU. I'm betting this will make it work with sammys etc.. on the new dash.

Sorry if any of this info is duplicated but I wont have time to review the recent postings untill tonight.

Console flag.

It's on ur Nand, If you've been online since then it's uploaded the XVal and marked u for ban.

UPDATE: How to get AP 2.5 Games(Like Fable 3) to run on JTAG from HDD

Simply xtract to your Hard drive (or USB) as you would normally (Using your favourite program)

Then: Go to the folder the game is in and copy the file 'default.xex' to a USB (Or any other means for getting it onto a PC)

Copy it into the same folder (keep the original for backup in a seperate folder) as Xextool (Xorloser's program - extract it from it's .rar - I usually just put it at the root of any given drive eg; C:\ etc..)

Next: Run cmd.exe from the start menu to bring up the command line window.

Then: Making sure you are in the directory that contains the default.xex and Xextool.exe
Type: Xextool -r a Default.xex

You can now copy the Default.xex file back into the game directory that you originally got it from

Enjoy!

Brgds/Dan

Mods: I will put this in a how-to thread

Hi guys!
This is my first post and i'm doing all i can not to upset you.

Here's my question,
I have a original Xbox 360 Elite 120 GB that i bought december 2009.

If i go to my local "flash store" tomorrow and flash it with LT, will i be able to
play any games?

If i quote c4eva

[****] c4eva: does that mean old games that dont have ap25, that we burned, as ssv2 are safe?
[+c4eva] ****:yes

I'm only interested in playing Medal of Honor and Fallout: New Vegas for now.

If i burn two legit(ssv2 copies) of those will i be safe? smile.gif

Regards

Everyone just needs to be patient, stay offline, and wait.   For all the past updates and ban waves I would stay online even before any fixes would be released and somehow avoided being banned ever.  This time my Spidey Sense is telling me otherwise, so I'm chilling for a few weeks.

It works fine using ISO2GOD, I'm getting ready for my second playthrough.

Just for the info,

I have the Kinect with the Newest dash, I bought 2 Kinect originals and they Play fine.  I have a Benq with Ixtreme LT 1.2

There is one thing I noticed, there is a 2mb file that is a required download before you play each Kinect game. This may be of some interest to somebody.

It downloaded only once and installed. It may be the AP2.5 checks.. I dont know tho..
