Okay, first of all apologies for the question, but I didn't want to create a new thread for it.
I've currently got 3 xboxes - 1 old 20GB Premium/Pro with a Hitachi 59 spoofed as a Hitachi 78, a 120GB Elite with Liteon and a scratch attracting 360 S[lim].
The only modded (and only banned) 360 is the old Hitachi. It's running the Pre-Kinect Dash with IX1.51 and so obviously plays any game that's thrown at it.
IF I understand, the older sammy/hitachi drives didn't support AP2.5 and thus will play the new backups without problem..? Would this still be the case if I updated to the new Dash too?
Thanks in advance.
Sammy drives and some hitachis (i dono which ones) are incapable of performing the check, so it is just skipped. Therefore the check cant be enforced on this dash update, or any future dash update.
I dont know if this helps anyone out, but my friend is running a hitachi v79 with I believe ix 1.51 (possibly older) and STILL has never been banned. He has only played retail disks for the past 1.5 years. Dont ask me why he has a modded console and dosent use it because I have no idea....

we need a new type of ABGX that can tell us if ap2.5 is activatedno doubt a cleverer person than me will make 1 the disk swap chip is clever for people that are flagged but a bit dodgy if your not
The problem with ABGX checking for ap25 is that c4 still dosent know what the trigger is activating the ap25. I dont know enought about ap25 to even know if it is possible.
