1) Hitachi either has AP2.5 support or doesn't. If it DOES have AP 2.5 Support, you won't be able to play ANY AP2.5 game when you update to kinetic, if you are using pre-kinetc dash you might be able to play Fable 3 however. If it DOESN'T support AP2.5 you will be able to play all AP2.5 games after you update to the _latest_ kinetic dashboard.

2) The updates for LT+ (AP25ss patches etc) don't affect Hitachi as the FW (1.51) can't correctly perform the AP2.5 security check.

3) If your hitachi does support AP2.5 you can only keep your fingers crossed for a possible LT+ release on hitachi.

Updating hitachi to kinetic and trying to play AP2.5 will get you flagged if you receive an error.
If the game works you won't be flagged for that particular reason and you are free to play ALL AP2.5 games.

It doesn't support AP 2.5 and you have to update to play any game with it.  This is just gonna confuse someone because it doesn't make sense and it's Kinect.  There is no kinetic dash, this is why the 360 S is now called the Slim.

If it was a 59 originally use a 59, same if it's benq.  Whatever it was originally is what it needs to be.  You need to update and patch, won't work without it although someone will say or "know" it does.  lol

Put the original drive (the one that came with it stock) in and flash it with LT+.  Spoofed drives don't work w/AP2.5.  Run ACB and any others through ABGX, the new one, and patch and reburn them.

Some hitachis support AP2.5
Kinetic dash = Latest dash
Fable 3 did work with pre-kinect dash (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Don't update via AP2.5 games, there are numerous reports of this causing problems due to the updates being incomplete and causing dirty disk errors, even on drives that do not support AP2.5.

Instead you must download the system update extract it to a memory stick or burn the extracted files to a CD and use it to update.

Hitachi 47dj here updated dash via USB from MS prior to NFS HP which "still" has dirty disc error.
It seems to me that these drives actually do have the AP2.5 check otherwise the backup would work, unless there is something else !!

I suppose it is possible that a 47dj happens to have AP2.5 support, but if so I would expect the newer models to have it too.
I have a Hitachi 79FL drive (the last Hitachi model to be used I believe) that plays AP2.5 backups just fine - I updated via XBox live (having flashed the drive back to stock first).

Out of interest, is your console banned from Xbox live? Because I've also noticed that it tends to be owners with banned consoles that have AP2.5 problems.
Either that, or did the console originally have a different drive? If so, you need to put in the same model as the original.

It would also be interesting to see if you had the AP2.5 failed flag - you can check that using XVal 2.0.

Its the original drive, but has been banned for 3 years now.
I will check with XVal when i get home.
Would be interesting to see if anybody has AP2.5 backups working on a previously banned hitachi !!
Would be good to get a sticky going on this subject.

Piontless me getting Kinect at the moment as the kids dont care if they throw original disks around like frisbees !!

Have you actually checked your Dash is 12611?
I find it really odd that 47 would have AP2.5 support.

So far orignal hitachi 47 with the latest 12611 dash and iX 1.51 has been able to run AP2.5 games Oo
What date is the drive? Month/Year?

Try updating the xbox once again by getting the 12611 system update from xbox.com, maybe yours is corrupted ;P

I'd have to open the 360 to get the date , no time now but its defo a 47dj.
The dash is 21611 , if i try update again it says "already up to date"
XVal says console banned, nothing about AP2.5 so i guess its something else......

The only thing I can do now is rip and burn the game again, it might be a bad rip/burn but i doubt it.
