What the hell do you call that then?

what he is saying is that once u are flagged for failing ap2.5 your modded box will not be able to play any backups with 2.5 on them ever again. (unless u reverse the flag by backing up the nand etc.)

LOL at this, are you serious listen what you are saying lol you can get flagged as much as you like that can;t stop you playing games only thing that can happen is you can get banned from live.
And when the new LT+ gets out you can continue playing all games that have that ap25 check.

Guys let me clear it up.

Take it or leave it, i dont care.

1.It is not the flag that is stopping you playing ap2.5
2.IT IS new security checks
3.ap2.5 will not work on new dash till the drive is modified and the discs are ripped properly to respond the correct checks to the dash.
4. Flagging DOES NOT stop you playing backups
5. Flagging will simply flag you for a ban.

Nobody can get ap2.5 to boot on new dash because AP2.5 ripped games will not work on new dash! Simple.

Yes some people can, due to patching and using the current LT and using hitachi/ samsung. But thats a different story.

Bottom line, dont update and WAIT FOR LT+

If you do update dont sook about ap2.5 Please!
Just wait.

If your flagged its your own fault and nobody can/will help you. You will simply be banned im the future.

Awesome.

I think some of you guys may want to read THIS thread.

It starts out as speculation and rumors only to slowly turn into very real issues as the time log progresses from beta fall dashboard to official release.

You will notice as the thread continues that more and more reports of AP2.5 games "fable 3" so far is not loading once the AP2.5 ban accurs.

There has been so much information/misinformation so far that we are still learning just what is going on but from what I have read that once you have failed the AP 2.5 the console gets flagged and at this time the Fable 3 games stop loading.

HERE is another thread to read on this issue. It had to be closed because people could not stay on topic but there again you will see indications of Fable 3 not loading once AP 2.5 flag has been set.

Me personally I dont even have a modded console so I have not tested this issue and wont be ether since it seems much easier and less hassle to just not have a modded console.

Of course the game wont load after ap 2.5
Its because the game has ap2.5 and would never have ran properly on the kinnect dash in the first place

If it was working before then they were on dash 9199.

They move to new dash, run fable backup... Game boots, runs a check, fails ap2.5 and quits... Or game simply wont boot. As a result you're then flagged, and game tag corrupted. Game wont boot. Put in the original, with correct response and walla! Game boots.

Any copied game containing ap2.5 wont boot on new dash because it requires the correct response from the drive and disc.

If what you're saying is true then originals simply wouldnt load.

Surely there is no way to test if the dash flag/block on AP2.5 games is permanent. Not until LT+ is out and AP2.5 game backups are tested on an AP2.5 fail/banned system?      uhh.gif

Were you EVER able to play a backup of Black ops? How about running the original disc? As most people have reported, my original of Black Ops has never had any problems, even after whatever the title update recently was. I don't see, at the moment, any change in XVAL status. Are you SUUUUUREEE you didn't try to play the bad rip that was reported to be floating around the 'nets? That may be flag-bait as opposed to any extra disc security.

If the issue IS "turning on" ap25 checks via a title update, the original should still be fine to use online with LT since its still reporting back the correct check values.

That's prolly what it is. The retail copy works great. It might be a bad rip. I started getting really paranoid. Sorry if I caused a panic

He's just speculating afterall, its just a theory.

Theres nothing wrong with that.
But from what c4eva says, it has nothing to do with a flag

Consoles are always flagged for a ban, its just normally done online. This however has no effect on the game booting, just an indicator to microsoft that you're 'cheating the system' and you will b punnished.

Now that its done offline ap 2.5 work differently Yes because it checks piracy offline. Just like always protection against checks will be implemented in a new fw update and your backups will be seen as originals and boot. Doesnt matter if your flagged or not

So all those that claim the game does not boot after AP fail is just making it up?

I mean I have been on here a long time and have seen some really messed up claims and if they are just made up from someones fancy then they always get shot down but to me it seems way to many people are making the same claim and I doubt they can all be just made up shit. lol

It may just have something to do with the corrupt game profile.

I understand what your saying. But if it was the case then originals wouldnt boot. And the only ap2.5 game thats been tested is fabel.

Anyways. I guess to be fair, both of our point of views are based on what we've read and personally believe. And there is simply no proving each other wrong untill its been confirmed.

Lets wait for a progress update and LT+ to be sure.

But, im sorry for anyone flagged already, its bad luck. But for every mistake someone makes, there 1000 people learning from it. So in a way i thank you all.

My guess is that a lot of people think that when they get flagged, none of their backups will play anymore. The flagging doesn't stop any games from playing, It stops your console from signing in to XBOX Live. The new Kinect dash contains the AP 2.5 security check. If a game that should contain the AP 2.5 doesn't contain it, the console will see that it fails the AP 2.5 challenge and be flagged. When you update to the new dash, only games carrying AP 2.5 will no longer function.

Heres a new thought for everyone to ponder. What happens if it take my not modded xbox 360 with the new kinect dash and put a backup game in it?

What do you think will happen? I think it says unreadable disc error and wont have a chance to flag my console because it doesnt get that far into the check... interesting stuff i think...

After reading this I have updated my console via USB method, and chucked in my back up copy of Fable 3 as a tester, of course it failed, to read the disk. Now I have been online for some time now and still no flag/ban code has appeared, so it appears the offline method seems to have worked this time around. :S
