I've heard the opposite to be true

people with Fable 3 retail + Latest Dash = doesn't load

Can anyone confirm this, that a retail Fable 3 doesn't load after an AP2.5 flag?

Rubbish

An original woth ap2.5 will load regardless of your flagged status!

Its not the flag that stops you from booting, its that the firmware does not send the correct response and the disk has not benn burned properly.

mmm are u sure about that? when lt+ come and will be flashed in console that is already updated and already flagged all ap 2.5 games will wont work also with the lt+ firmware?

I suppose that, since LT+ will probably bypass the AP2.5, he will be able to play AP2.5 games again. Also though usually people can play on the new dash retail AP2.5 games (Fable III), there are few reported cases that couldnt.
This doesnt excuse him from coming here whining about the flagging when it's by now universally known what you are getting yourself into when updating the system and popping in a Fable III backup.

LT+ wont bypass AP 2.5. It should make it so AP 2.5 passes the responses requested by the dashboard.

However this wont do anything for a console that has failed such tests and has been flagged already.

Another words LT+ will hopefully help those not yet banned but for those that have already been flagged it is likely game is over for those people for now.

This is why nobody with a modded console should update to the fall dashboard until LT+ comes out.

Dude,

Where are you getting this info from? The ap2.5 flag is flagging the consoles for trying to play burnt games. It does not cripple your ability to RUN ap2.5 if your flagged. It just means the security sector on the disc and firmware are not supplying the correct responses to the dash and will come to the conclusion you're running a cppy and will not allow you to boot.

It does not matter if youre flagged. LT+ will supply the reaponses needed and trick the machine to think the game is original and BOOT it.
Regardless of weather you're flagged.

Ranger72 never said a flagged console wouldn't be able to run AP2.5 games. LT+ will not "bypass" the AP2.5 checks, but return the correct responses to the system allowing the affected games to boot. He also said that those consoles which are flagged will probably be banned. (That was the intent of his "game over" comment.)

Aside from that, nothing he said in any way implied that consoles running LT+ won't be able to run backups or originals which have AP2.5. He was just correcting a technical error on the part of Anthares2k.

Pretty sure that once the console is flagged it wont load any ap2.5 games even after LT+.

What the hell do you call that then?

I withdraw my previous post. It seems I misunderstood what Ranger was saying.

If you look back in the thread he addressed your concerns about his statement. There's no need to ask the same question again and again if he's already addressed it. He didn't say it was gospel truth, but just what he understands at this point. No one is totally sure at this point, but we'll probably know more going forward.

Well if you have a banned box like mine and failed the ap2.5 check and its true that all future ap2.5 games will be blocked we might as well either do the disk swap method or use the "stealth eject chip"

what is the disk swap method? i know the chip but never heard of that disk swap method

Yay! I'm home (Already snowed-in with work I've fallen behind with but anyway ..)

In my commitment to fighting AP 2.5 (in an effort to allow ppl to play backups unimpeded) - I have some news:

I'm 90% sure that black-ops has AP 2.5 (SS type) and that one of the new TU's (to come-out in the last day or so) Is probably activating the checks (anyone game to check?? - You will need NWP or flashing ability, Go on live with orig, accept update <TU> , unplug network,turn-on NWP see if backup game boots, power-off entirely ie; PSU unplugged for 30 seconds, turn NWP back off and lastly check X val if ur super paranoid before going back online.)

OR: Use online box (Preferably with Latest LT but updated with orig - not essential but it would help) that u have dumped nand on (after updating to kinect dash 126111 - Dont waste a JTAG on this BTW)
THEN: Go online with original disc, accept TU(Title Update),remove network cable or disconnect wireless THEN: Try to run Black-OPs (or any other new game u want 2 test) TEST: Does it boot yes/no? Check X val (even if it boots - hopefully u confirmed it was clean previous) RETURN BOX 2SAFE: Re-Flash your backup (I hope u did several dumps and got 2 matching dumps confirming legitimacy to 99.8% or your NAND Backup) Thereby rendering the box eligible to go back on-line with 100% certainty that this test will not cause your box to banned (excluding what you do with it before/afterwards)

And now for some good news:

I have devised a method for making a BENQ/LITEON Box SAFE FOR ONLINE (AND PASS AP2.5 BACKUP GAMES) Permanently!!

Here is a link to my tut: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=723530

I'm starting to think Black Ops has AP 2.5 as well. My console doesn't seem to flagged according to XVAL, but I cannot run a backup of Black Ops. I get a disc unrecognized error. I know XVAL isn't 100% and I expect to be banned sometime just for having a modded console online anyway. Has Black Ops been confirmed to have AP 2.5?

Were you EVER able to play a backup of Black ops? How about running the original disc? As most people have reported, my original of Black Ops has never had any problems, even after whatever the title update recently was. I don't see, at the moment, any change in XVAL status. Are you SUUUUUREEE you didn't try to play the bad rip that was reported to be floating around the 'nets? That may be flag-bait as opposed to any extra disc security.

If the issue IS "turning on" ap25 checks via a title update, the original should still be fine to use online with LT since its still reporting back the correct check values.

Running a Black Ops backup online here, after taking the title update, so it seems BO doesn't yet have 2.5.

i am confussed...

when are you flagged for a ap 2.5 game ?
can or can't you play that or other ap 2.5 games on the xbox???

i have a modded and banned xbox, just bought kinect.
the original game works an backup ( different game ) dont work, get the play dvd.

have read that updating the firmware to LT 1.1 wil fix the play dvd error.
is that risky ?

i just want to play the kinect games.
is there a firmware that just play every game ?
of is it bad to play a ap 2.5 game an get flagged ?
