If you haven't updated to kinect dash - don't. If you have - don't play Fable 3 because it WILL flag you. Your console already is crippled the moment you updated to kinect.

-edit- unless you have samsung or older hitachis, that is. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Not true. I have a LiteOn with LiteTouch that's currently not flagged but has the new Kinect Dash. I've played RB3 / Mafia II since, both are SSv2. Still not flagged. Obviously haven't played Fable III or Hasbro Family Whatever.

I think what he means is that your console is crippled with the inability to play Fable 3 or any other AP 2.5 game that may or will exist. It will still play online just fine.

The consensus as of now is no, because people with LT firmware are able to play, unlike Fable III. However, there is nothing stopping Microsoft from releasing a title update which does the AP 2.5 checks and flags consoles and/or locks out the game from booting, so there is still risk.

The odd thing about black ops is that it doesn't save on your j-tag. I find this really strange. Earlier in this thread someone mentioned this, and I can confirm it.

I know c4eva said it could be possible but i think that was just to be safe. Seriously doubt a title update can implement checks in a game. The new dash checks the disk during boot not the installed game. If what ur saying is true people should be able to install a rented copy of fable 3 and launch it with a burned copy without problems.

The burned disc will still fail the AP 2.5 challenge.

The game will save on the system HDD, But not on an external
HDD. Yes, you can have in game saves, but it will not save as a game file onto an external. Again, read earlier thread.

Can you give a source for this (other than c4e saying it) as I have an older flashed Hitachi - 79FL IIRC.
I'm unsure of firmware version, but I have to wave patch games for them to work.

I haven't updated to the new dash yet as this box has been going strong on Live for the last 3yrs and don't want to feck it up by rushing into anything.

Is there a confirmed list of drives that don't do AP2.5?

still using the pre-kinect dash and waiting patiently for further news....if nothing happens and fable 3 is the only game not working when would be a good time to update and go online? maybe around the 15th?
