So I have a Benq LT v1.1 and I was wondering if Halo Reach is safe burnt to play online; or at least Halo Reach Original disc online, until LT+ comes out

I just read this thread and the other one....your questions has been asked 867 times.  Maybe not for the exact game you mention but the answers are there.  You can spend 5 minutes reading the threads....I did.

Hi I have a flashed lite on running LT.  If I play retail (store bought) games on my console, will I be banned?

Read the damn thread, I don't post on here much but it's so aggravating trying to find relevant information among all the irrelevant questions.

Ok I've read all 9 pages and seriously have not read an answer to my quick questions.  I do not however know what FW I am running on my 360, but I do know it is one of the old Samsung/Toshiba drives from the first batch back in 06.  I was told that those drives do not support AP25, so I shouldn't have to worry about the dash update correct?  My current setup is two 360s, neither banned, one online with original FW and the other offline with custom FW...and I swap the HD between them.  If the AP25 doesn't work on my old flashed drive, then I'm still good to continue this and do the dash update?  thanks for any assistance

Just wondering what about Hitachi drives. I'm currently using a Hitachi 78 does ap 2.5 apply with that drive? There is no LT for hitachi so im using 1.61 with no probs. Seems most ppl are worried about LT and not older firmwares. Can anyone shed some light on this as it hasnt been asnwered so please dnt just say do a search. Someone asked about a hitachi 48 or something but not 78 and much as I respect C4E his post was so vague just says some older drives and some hitachi's so just wondering if anyone could comment on this?

Now, the question is... several ppl reported that hitachi 59 dont have ap 2.5, anyone can confirm it?

Ok guys, I´ve read all the posts.. and there are a few things i cant understand.. this is my story..

I´ve been faaaaar from the scene and from my xbox.. so a few weeks ao, i got to play fable 2, and won it, so i got a backup of fable 3.. won it.. ive been disconected from LIVE since ever.. and last night i was wondering whats new on LIVE, so i plugged my xbox to the internet and updated the dashboard without knoing about the AP25 issue.. and BANG! my fable 3 wont start again  biggrin.gif it says unrecognized disc, this disc is unreadeble.. i guess this is the error everyone is getting.. Ive tested lord of shadows and works fine.. I HAVE NO CLUE wich unit i have, since a friend of mine flashed it for me.. I have another unit NEW.. and its oooolder I bought it a few years ago from china.. soooo.. MY QUESTIONS ARE: (please i know some of them are kinda lame)

Q: Will i get Banned or it´s not 100% sure yet? (i guess i will, and I´ll be really mad since this would be my 2nd banned console, last time i had almost the same problem lol)

Q: I´ve read in some of the post about some units that doesnt have that AP25 thing.. could somebody xplain me a lil bit more about it.. if I get one of those i wont have any problems with that AP25 error ever? please this is the question im must intrested..

Q: Do i have to get a new xbox or somehow someday in the really near future I will be able to play my games normaly even if i get banned?

PLEASE HELP ME with some answers.. and forgive my english, its not my main language.. Thanks guys

Nobody has the answers. Only Microsoft knows who will be banned.

Simple solution - keep offline until there is more word from c4e and the situation is clearer.

Alternate solution - play with your original retail games until more word from c4e.

Dickhead solution - keep playing backups and risk being banned.

I've been banned every year since the very first original extreme firmware. Bans will come. Accept it.

Have the patience to either wait for a new firware and *possibly* remain safe, or risk it and accept that you will be banned. Buy another xbox.

Or do what many of us did after last years ban wave - buy one xbox for Live and only play your originals, buy another xbox for your backups offline.

I'm going with the simple solution, keeping my ixtreme LT offline until there is further word from c4e, and playing my originals online for now.

Also suggest everyone stop asking the same dumb questions over and over. Nobody has a crystall ball. Nobody even knows truly what caused bans in 2009, 2008 or 2007 so endless speculation and random theories about what is safe and what is not safe are pointless. If you are seriously that worried about being banned then you should be playing originals on an unmodded xbox.

People will just have to wait and see if LT has done the job, but im thinking ban wave coming just before new cod and kinect. Ms always wait for a big release and near to Christmas season, so peeps go out and buy a new console.  Not modded since last ban wave last year around this time.

Then all older ones 46, 47, 58 and 59 must dont have it too!!!

Hitachi 0078FK

KINECT FINAL DASH (updated on LIVE)
iX 1.51 FW
FABLE 3 Backup WORKS AFTER UPDATE!!!

Here is the PROOF
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4oafPW0zlM

HITACHI 0078FK DONT HAVE AP 2.5
according to this video... hitachi 46 47 and 59 must dont have ap 2.5 neither cause are OLDER than 78
now my question is why ppl said that only hitachi older than 59 have not ap 2.5?

i have to agree with you about spacedmonkeys post.  hopefully everyone will stop asking the same questions over and over.  if folks are worried about being banned, the ONLY solution you have is not to mod your system, buy originals and stay legal.  then you will have no issues what so ever with banning and you will have one less worry in life.

but if you modify your system and play backups online, then YOU have assumed all responsibility for being banned or not.  it's not anyones fault other than yourself, the one who played a backup title online.  alot of us don't understand why this is so difficult for folks to understand or comprehend.  you assumed all risks by breaking the rules.  everyone understands some folks position on using their 'backups' over their originals, to keep them safe.  but that is not allowed under any circumstances by microsoft, sony or nintendo.

sometimes you get by, sometimes you get caught.  simple as that.

After reading everything and sorting through all of the noobs and stupid comments, I decided to put in the simple solution of this problem.

You have three choices:
1) Flash your drive back to stock firmware (my choice); took me 25-30 minutes.
PRO: Access to xbox Live.
CON: Only play original games.

2) Don't update dashboard.  Takes 0 minutes.
PRO: All disks work.
CON: No xbox live.

3) Update to new dash and keep current firmware.  0 minutes.
PRO: Most disks work (all except Fable III so far it seems); Xbox Live (for now)
CON: Almost certainly will be banned in the very near future.
I don't know why you would do this honestly.  If you have to have XBL you're going to have to buy a new xbox.  If you don't need XBL do option 2.

Also, if you do option 1 or 2, you can update/remod after LT+ is released.  Ban is permanent and then you'll have to wait for LT+ anyway.

Good luck.
