So I have a Benq LT v1.1 and I was wondering if Halo Reach is safe burnt to play online; or at least Halo Reach Original disc online, until LT+ comes out

Sorry but that's not a certain way of checking!!AP2.5 was found on discs over a year ago. I suspect that Fable3 is an anomoly in that it simply doesn't boot from the updated dash (Probably something to do with the game studio wanting the new chex implemented and protecting their IP, but wanting it to meet a release date. <Remeber kinect dash upd was pushed back a couple of times> Fable 3 was orignally going to have kinect features but were removed last minute... (this is more than likely a slip-up we have been lucky to catch on to as I have yet to hear of a game being released that cannot be played on older <unmodded> 360's)

AP2.5 was found on discs over a year ago, but it has always been inactive. People have been using older backups on the new dash and have checked XVal after and been 'Clean'. So I think that throws your theory that older backups may be at risk from the new checks out the window. I cant imagine them somehow being able to activate the security on older games.

Fable 3 (backup) is currently the only game that a) does not boot on new dash, and (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) flags failed ap25.

Hi I have a flashed lite on running LT.  If I play retail (store bought) games on my console, will I be banned?

His theory is sound. My understanding is that AP2.5 is not necessarily based on security within the discs, but how the data on the discs is actually tested. Since tests can change after the discs are made, presumably older games could eventually require AP2.5. AP2.5 first appeared when an update came out for FIFA '09, not when it was originally released. That's something to consider.

Of course, I'm no expert on this subject, so take what you will from my post.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

@sean7341: check the last two pages of this thread. You question has been addressed several times.

If you've played backups on xboxlive on the unit and they were not made properly ( or even if they were ) you may have been flagged. Nobody knows for sure until the ban hammer comes down.

No offense to any one but inless you are helping the scene by knowing what you are doing...You would know if you are...is to unplug your xbox and find something else to do until someone who does know what they are doing releases data. All of the stupid questions are just logging up the forums for real news. My guess that is only 1 outta every 5 posts is by someone who knows what they are really talking about...and most of them are telling you to be patient and wait...IE NOT UPDATE, NOT PLAY, and NOT ask stupid questions.    I just got my 360 last week after being outta one for a few months...ya im antsy to play...but their are other things to find to do...drag out the old ps2 or something. The more questions you ask...the more time the people who could be figuring something out have to waste sighing at dumb people on the forums.

Just my 2 cents but really.

As weird as this sounds, I'm kinda glad Fable III got such universally sucky reviews.  If it hadn't, I'd be REALLY pissed about this whole scenario.  But since it's gotten such poor reviews, I'm not racing to play it and use one of my discs on it, so no worries for me XD

I find it very strange that Fable 3 is the only game affected. Why are games after Fable 3 not effected too? Hasbro Family Game Night 3 is "wave 7" and is not effected. Their has to be a reason, or am i the only one that feels this way?

I'm not sure about this, but I tried to play Vanquish after updating to the new dash and got the exact same thing I got on FIII. "Unable to read disc".
Might be my disc, but there's no visible scratches on it and I've played it before updating.

Hey just out of curiosity, how accurate is XVAL. Mine shows it's clean. Has anyone ever received the SECdata is clean and then got banned?

This my story:

I have 2 consoles. One clean with original play on Live and one flashed that has never been on Live. I use one 250gb original hd for both consoles. I play live with the 250gb disk and when i want to play my copies, i put the 250gb on my flashed and unbanned console. This way i have all the saves, achievements and gamerscore from my copy games on my live gamertag. Yesterday i updated the clean console with the new dash. If i update the flashed but unbanned console, play fable3, recieve the error and then take the 250gb drive and put it back on my clean console, will i be able to enter xbox live with the same gamertag with no corruption?

Thanks and sorry for my english...

Well some games might of got pressed at different times before they added the new checks or maybe cause Fable 3 is a MS exclusive and its a big title.

I as banned last year, checked for xval and showed clean. I updated yesterday with oficial dashboard and xval shows something as decryption failed. Strange.
