Hi all.
Would firstly like to say thanks to all that are working so hard so try and get the AP.2.5 issue resolved.
Probably a total noob question, but I have looked about all over the place and have been unable to find an answer.
When a console gets flagged for a ban by MS, is it the actual 'console' that gets flagged, as in on the motherboard, or is the ban information applied to the HDD.
Reason I ask is that I have 2 360's, one that is modded and has never been online (and never will) and my online 360 that has not been modified or touched in any way that I really only use for arcade games (which I have purchased over 100 of !).
I swap my HDD from the online and offline console, so if the offline console does get flagged for a ban, I don't really care as it will never be connected to live to activate (if the ban is applied to the console itself). If however the ban is on the HDD, will this mean my online (unmodified) console will get banned.
Have not updated to the newest dash (and have no intention of doing so until all has been resolved), but I am just curious if anyone knows how the flagging actually works.
Thanks

As of update 2.0.9199 and earlier when a console is flagged for ban offline, the NAND is flagged (not the HDD). If you don't know what a NAND is, google "Xbox 360 NAND". Once flagged, if you ever go online with that box, xbox live will ban and cripple it, causing your gamer profile to become corrupt if moved from that box and not allow you to save games to the HDD.
As of the new Kinect update, welcome to DASH BANS!!! If your box is flagged for a ban, you no longer have to log online to get your box banned and crippled, even offline your box will be instantly banned from Xbox Live and crippled as mentioned above.
If you use the same HDD on both boxes, once you update the Non-mod box to the new Kinect dash, the system update folder will be stored on your hdd and it will attempt to update your modified box to the new dash the next time you use it. If you update it and it is flagged, it will be banned (even if offline) and you will no longer be able to transfer your profile from your modded one to your non-modded one. No more profile sharing between boxes!
Option 1: Get another HDD or memory card for the second box and dont share memory, then you can safely update the non-modified box to new kinect dash. Now you can play safely between the both consoles.
Option 2: Replace the $systemupdate folder with an older version (Via connectivity kit and PC) each time you play on the modified (Ban Flagged) box.
