I don't know for sure of course but being that people are reporting that they are able to play original retail versions of Fable III and fail to boot the backup seems to imply that the firmware is in fact give the correct challenge response back to the new dash version. C4eva did say that the LT firmware is as close to the OEM firmware that he could get and has known that the SP2.5 checks have been in place for some time now but never used. Of course know one will ever know until those that work on the firmware (C4eva and team jungle) finally comment on the matter. Also thanks to S934T88234L for confirming with me about dumping and flashing the NAND.

I guess its a bit ot of topic, but the only good thing with this is that scene releases cant be done with the shitty kreon drive anymore as its seems like people are having serious problems with it.
So the future will only bring us 0800 rips, but as suggested it also needs a rewrite to get the AP25 check.

To my knowledge, there doesn't seem to be many people posting similar scenarios, namely, running fable 3 on 9199 dash.  Based on what we know, how safe is this?  Is anyone on 9199 getting their console flagged?

just a question, becuase at this point it can be anything....
but what are the chances of the entire disc being hashed ? copying/cloning the disc would change this hash, and thus would fail on this new protection.

Hi every one.
Im going to leave here my experience with this "New Protections".

I have two xbox360. My - 1º is a ms28 (sammy) with Ixtreme 1.6 and my (RROD fixed)
                                    - 2º is a Xbox 360 Elite Lite-On 83850C with LT 1.0 dash 2.0.9199.0 (currently)

Im having problems runing the latest games Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 , starwars 2 and Fable 3, because my elite cant read the discs it simply can't (it dosent says unreadable it dosent report any error but they dont run). I can play every other games that i have.

Then i try the same discs in my sammy xbox and all games started well and worked fine. So the problem isnt the discs but the Firmware.

I dont play online (im silver member for about 4 years now lol), the last time i went online was about 6 months.
All my games are ALWAYS abgx checked and SS2.



My opinion is that we need a new hacked Firmware

Well upgrade the liteon to the latest lt firmware and see what happens. I hear reports of lt1 not reading a lot of games.

My BenQ LT 1.1 that I literally just flashed last night reads Fable III fine, I am on the current dashboard available and not on the new beta.. so fyi

When you sober up, think about how long it would take the 360 to calculate the hash value of the entire disc.  It would require reading the entire disc contents every time you insert a disc in the drive, which only makes sense when you're a lil drunk.

Ok i made an acc to post my stats about this.

i tryed to play a not original copy of fable 3 on 2 of my xboxes,

1st xbox

Drive: liteOn   << dont know wich 1
Firmware: LT 1.0
JTAG : No
Slim : No
Dashboard: 2.0.9199.0
Officially in beta: no
Fable 3 working: Not working, boots then immediatly after it turns black my screen i get error it cant read disc, burned 2 different discs same problems
Xval result: Sec data is clean.

what i find weird is that for so many ppl that tryed fable 3 here that most of those with dashboard 9199 can play fable 3, but i cant? but unlike the newer dashboards, my secdata stays clean? so this is weird to me.

Have you tried running the burnt disc through abgx to make sure it's burnt properly? And have you tried to install the game onto the HDD?

the game is burned perfectly fine yes, and i have no option to install it to hdd cous it the game doesnt shows up, it only gives me play game, nothing else. then i can do x to eject or a to start it, and if i start it it does boots till black screen then it gets the disc read error, both discs i burned do that at the exact same time

This is a bit confusing..

Why do people keep posting if they have the current dash and not the latest beta dash??? the problem is with the latest beta dash and the new release title disc. The disc and the dash need to emulate ap2.5.

If you have original fable 3 or you have backed up your original (not downloaded copy) Current dash is fine it will do nothing.

The only problem with the current dash is if you pirated it off the net in which in some cases does have problems, and is bound to happen anyway... its a pirated pre-release on the net. This shouldnt be turning into a tutorial on how to get it to work.



What would be good to know is if any older games with the new beta dash are bringing up "ap25 challenged failed" ( not already flagged) so we can find out if its safe to update or not, and stay away from new releases untill further news.
