>> A 0800 (ripping version) of the 1.6 series has been released to the BenQ, LiteOn and Toshiba Samsung drives. As usual Hitachi will be last to follow (if at all supported for 0800 mode)
Features:
-Common API designed for easier application use!
-Support for SS V2!
-Direct 0800 mode for game dumping including SS v2!
This firmware is =NOT FOR USE IN A CONSOLE= and is provided
with the intended use of being in a dedicated "ripping" drive.
This means:
a. Does not need your DVD key,
b. Does not need spoofing as another drive,
c. Does not need to use the tray half open and
d. Does not need to use the activate.iso to use this firmware on the pc.
More Info
SS v2 supports multiple timing samples for challenges type 5 and 7, storing them in the SS. This is a pre-requisite for SS v3 which has support for the so called AP2.5 check. Since this has never been used or may never be used by MS we will adopt a wait and see approach and continue to monitor for its usage.ix16 0800 Commands

*The most interesting part is what I put in bold. If SSV3 does indeed mean AP2.5 then no current rip or drive will give a working "non banning" backup. There will need to be a new 0800 firmware (or new korean firmware for that matter) that looks for SSV3 and that would be the reason no one is able to see the difference between the new discs and the old is because we simply cant read the new security sector data. Also this could possibly mean that there maybe nothing wrong with our current firmware because these checks are already in place and will give the correct challenge response to the fall 2010 dash
*Also on another note I saw this post by
p4r0l3 "If you are going to test Fable3 on an online console with the latest dash, do yourself a favor and solder up an lpt/usb flasher and dump your flash before you try.
That way, when your XVal is flagged you can reflash your NAND before taking the console back online.
Better yet, stay away from Fable3 AND the new dashboard updates."
I dont own any jtagable 360's so have never done a Jtag on one. Is it in fact possible to read and dump the NAND on a Jasper with 9199 dash, then should you get banned write the clean NAND dump back and effectively un-ban your console? Will this work on any console and dash version? I ask this because I can not find any concrete evidence of this on any Google searches so sorry if this is a known fact. And last question if it is possible can I use any Jtag tutorial and follow all the steps minus the SMC-JTAG wires?
Thanks! (IMG:

Edit:
One more note to make is that as some people have already stated that those with early DVD drive (and not those that spoof older drives as newer) may have nothing to worry about because the hardware and or OEM firmware may not be able to read these SSV3 sectors at all. Also those with backups of games made within the last year with SSV1 patching may find themselves being banned since SSV2 is a prerequisite for AP2.5. Anyone want to be a guinea pig and try a recent backup with SSV1 and the new dash and report what your SEC comes back as?
