Drive will be a v9 so Boxddr method is the only one open to you I'm afraid.

No idea what you mean by 1.2 though?  You talking about LT 1.2?  What's that going to solve?

I believe he's referring to the hopes that a new drive fw will be released to combat the impending ban wave in November due to the Kinect dashboard update (by current rumors).

November is two months away. Might as well just keep it stock and enjoy an Xbox you can use on live rather than get banned. Like everything its not guranteed, but this pretty much happens every year so I'd certainly expect it.

If its already flashed, then might as well keep playing till November, then see if Microsoft was taking banning reading this whole time anyways (in which case you'll be banned anyways), or like last year where only the new dashboard could read the firmware. (I yanked my cable from November - February and was thus spared the ban-wave).

I've read somehere that the new Kinect Dashboard bans the entire box even offline , game update and even if it's LT and it's always better with a new verison (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I would assume you would have to ok a EULA for offline bans, and who would ok that?
