OK so i have a liteon 93450c and i cant seem to get it into vendor mode. I have used the lt clip and lt switch v2. Jungle Flasher just gives me the message re-sending vendor intro until it fails. I should also note that JF will only detect the drive if i open then close the dvd tray. Any input would be greatly appreciated

in the words of buzzcut and iateshaggy.....ditch the LT clip and get yourself a regular electronic toggle switch and 22ohm 1/4watt resistor and do the good ol' syntaxerror329 (boxxdr) method instead

Trouble with now ditching the clip is that getting it off will be a pain in the ass....

@Dark Mod - I still don't know why people bother with these things, 3 cuts, one resistor and 6 inches of wire is all you need  *sigh*

hmm i guess this clip isnt as easy as they advertised. I however did manage to get the drive in vendor mode by moving the clip around and holding it down with my hand, however it shows the dvd key as a bunch of 0000s. Do u have any idea what this means? all i want is the dvd key, then after that im gonna ditch the liteon and spoof my Hitachi drive.

remember when you have the switch on to introduce vendor mode, you need to turn the switch off to allow the drivekey to come out during reading

When i turn the switch off then back on it's no longer in vendor mode. I do turn it off than back on in mra mode in order to get into vendor mode.  If i ditch this clip and use either mra method or the xecuter probe 2 will i get the dvd key, or am i still likely to get 000s as the dvd key?

You flip the switch off and click the intro again. You don't turn the switch back on.

Hmm maybe im missing something here but when you turn off the switch ( using the ck3 lite)  your also taking power away from the drive which means that jungle flasher cant detect the drive. The switch itself does not have an off switch

O yea your right. I am thinking of the normal way of doing it the Boxxdr method where after you click intro and power the drive and you get the x72 then flip the switch to open "off" and click intro again to be able at that point dump the firmware.

once you use the boxxdr method, you will get the official firmware out plus the key
