I have done a lot of reading and cant seem to figure it out...

Simple questions:
I have a Hitachi drive running ixtreme 1.5. Will I get banned playing online? If so, is there anything I can do to change that?

I am open to every ones opinion.

Yes you will get banned no there is nothing you can do about it.

Let me clarify a bit...Am I any more likely to get banned than another combination drive and firmware at THIS time?

Every drive type except Hitachi now has the iXtreme LT firmware available. It is your best bet for going online but most people agree that nothing is safe online. I currently know many people using LT firmware online but ask me again in November. That is the month MS like to start its next ban wave.
