Hey guys,

I've been at this for a couple days now...and after countless hours on google, youtube, xecuter, etc etc...I'm ready to jump in front of a bus.

I have the LT Switch+Clip (solderless solution)...I used a scratch pen to prep the area where the chip touches, carefully made my trace cuts with an xacto knife, put the chip in "test" mode and checked traces...light on the mod chip turns green indicating "GOOD". I than connected the external board and see a green light for both the "MRA" and "Normal" settings.

I plug it into JF and switch the chip to MRA and go the "Intro/Device ID", click Yes and power cycle the drive...I wait about 30 seconds and it tells me it failed...the drive is detected in JF though.

I also tried it with DosFlash and the Device Properties show up (dvd drive info)...but nothing shows up under "Flash Chip Properties".

I noticed on a tutorial that the external chip was red when switched to "MRA", and green when switched to normal...mine is green on both settings. Could it be the issue? If so, what can I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance for any help!

so with the LTswitch V2 you also have that ohm adapter that connects to the power cable? if so try different ohm settings. the MRA should be red and the normal should be green.

I have to try different combinations with the ohm adapter to get mine working and reading properly

even when i had the correct settings for ohms and whatnot i still had to power cycle the drive and extra 1 or 2 times before it popped up in JF.

dont know if that helps at all.
