Samsung Drive On Hitachi Motherboard
« on: August 27, 2010, 02:24:00 PM »

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I need to flash my new samsung drive and need to install it on my hitachi motherboard. The old hitachi driver was flashed to 1.51 but it no longer works. Anyways, I'm looking for a tutorial or guide  to help me do this. Also wondering if it is possible to flash the samsung to 1.6 while still being able to play on the hitachi motherboard.

Step 1 - you need the key from the old Hitachi. Depending on why it no longer works this could be a huge problem for you. Also tell us what version of hitachi it is please.

Step 2 - Create hacked firmware and flash samsung drive.

Everything you need to do can be done in jungleflasher. Theere is a great jungleflasher guide that will walk you through all the steps. The hard part for sure is going to be getting the key from the busted hitachi. If it is really screwed up you might need to hire someone like my self to extract the key from the hitachi drives SST tsop chip.
