I'm going to wait for a better video...

it took 3 minutes to watch this damn video... they should have shown a disassembled unit with DVD drive cover off.. drop a backup disc in before the hack and watch the security screen come up..

then cut to video of drive after modification and then a backup DVD being put in and playing...

I'm a skeptic... for all I know it could have been another 360 hooked up to TV that we were all seeing...

lastly, even if it's a legit hack.... we probably won't see it for another few months...

They did release everything they said they would on the past. They always do help us giving us the job done and you guys keep posting bullshit about a sample of their current work.

Go out and find some sex, you guys are fags.

Great News!!  Also to the guy who thinks that TeamJungle & c4eva are lame,   How about you try hacking the drive, releasing firmware and making a software program to integrate all of the features and processes.  There's no reason to be hating on the only team that has time and again helped the community.

Also, if Team Xecutor/c4eva/TeamJungle wanted to charge money then why shouldn't they?? How much money do you guys save by not buying crap games or by backing up the games you buy and keeping the originals in pristine condition?  I know that I'm a big supporter and would pay for their service and I even have a JTag here...  (And yes I did the JTag myself, I've also modded 80-100 360's with their software, no buying already modded crap over here...)

I love how all the people who never post come out of the woodwork only to call it fake and make inflamatory remarks...do we really not have anything better to do??

It's probably not a fake. If it were just some kid on youtube announcing it then i would call shenanigans but this is C4E, Team Jungle and Team Xecuter, they do have somewhat of a reputation to maintain and lying about hacking the new drive would not help them keep that. And if they were lying about it then it would never actually get released because it of course wouldn't exist (if it were fake)

It gives me a reason to want a new 360 more maybe by xmas time when kinect is out this will all be finalized , I won't buy a new one until i can get kinect with it.

The way this has been done, wont be the way you do it - and thats not marketing, its because its beyond 99.9% of modders, simply because of what is required to do so.

I wouldnt call 99.9% of the people who flash their drive "modders" anyway. 1 cheap ass soldering iron doesnt make you a modder in my book.

to oggy....on a scale of 1 to 10...how difficult it is to prepare the slim's drive to get it to read and then write?...I need an honest answer...the harder the technique is, the easier it is for me.

(example 1 to 4 as in replacing a car battery in a car...5 to 7 will be installing audio in a car and 8 to 10 will be trying to reach 160+DB in SPL with a stationwagon...*yes i'm almost there in that category...lol*) cool.gif

Yup I'm a Team X hater!

how...DID it go down exactly?

to most pros(like myself) last liteon drive wasnt even hard to mod. I had 100% success rate every time. I didnt even have to buy teamx anything.

50

Now how good are you?

You will not do whats been done, so stop caring about how difficult it is/was

I didnt call people who flashed their drives modders, I said 99.9% of modders.

JungleFlasher brought a new generation of retards to flash drives, I do not consider these in my 99.9% of modders.

Well if the difficulty is 50, its pretty obvious that is not something you can do with solder alone....

Because even if it was something like dessolder the whole chip, its pretty normal for most modders...

Probably is something more industrial and expensive like decapping (i said LIKE) etc ye?

There's nothing wrong with a healthy suspicion regarding something like this. However, it seems like people are taking it a bit too far.

For the 2:52 part in the video: I watched it over and over and over again. At first glance it looks like 2 discs, but after watching the disc along with the motion of the fingers, I think it's more likely that the grip was bad, so the game angled back, then was adjusted quickly. The low frame rate/resolution of the camera doesn't help this matter, but I don't think it's fishy in that regard.

The only thing that struck me as odd about the video is the RoL/powering on and off of the console. Granted, I don't have a new model, but it seemed like the timing just is off a bit. However, after checking my 360's timing with that in the video, things seemed to sync up exactly like happens with my Jasper.

Regardless of my personal feelings toward C4E, Team Xecuter and company, I do respect the work that's being done and don't doubt the abilities exist to bring these sorts of things to completion. Given that, I am going to withhold judgement on the matter until something more concrete is presented.

You guys that think this is fake are complete retards. Why would an international company such as TX risk their entire reputation on faking a slim dvd drive hack video. I know, you have all your theories, but i bet you also think the moon landing was fake. I suppose TX & C4eva had something to do with that as well. Get a grip and lets wait and see what happens. Give these guys a chance to do their thing.

Anyway, thanks for the hard work guys and am looking forward to hearing more about this in the future.

personally I don't give 2 sh*ts what others think about my comments..

I find it very odd that after 5 god damn years M$ still can't patch a effin security hole on their 360 gaming console..

I still believe this C4eva and others are actually working for M$ to sell more consoles.

Muchlike how all the anti-virus companies seem to have vaccines for new computer viruses within a few hours after a major one has been released... They have coders to write malicious viruses along with the antidote to increase their overall stock prices..

If M$ really wanted to stop all this, they could have done it when they first released the 360...
