do I need to press intro and cycle power ?

turn off drive then press intro then turn on drive and you will get the vendor mode kicked in

I am back into vendor mode I think under flash chip properties I see 0x72 , but my vendor id  says 0xc2, device id 0x11, nothing under name in drive properties, or f/w , i guess that is becuase i erased it, and no key either.
do I write now?

you erased the drive,theres nothing there what you expect him to show...
click Write.

the firmware will not write UNLESS the identification chip reveals the vendor name MXIC

Just try the info again and again, some drives i do kick in the first time and some kick in after 10 tries.

did you erase the drive and not get the firmware?  also, if you intro and don't get flash chip properties, just hit intro again.
