Ok, so what's the disable with master password part for? What's that do? Disabling locking of the HD? Don't you kinda need to be able to lock it to your xbox once you have it in so you can edit settings on the MS Dash?

jeeeze... arent ur fuc..king problem that the HD are locked to the old xbox that u cant get up running ???

This does so you can insert it to another xbox... it's then unlocked.. so all you have to do is lock it in the new xbox

u guys are making this way way too conplicated, ok download a copy of XboxHDM,here , i belive u can get it in the usual places. its a linux distro used for locking/unlocking an HD, I had the exact same problem that u had with a 120GB HD, If u have the eepron backed up on a floppy, use option 3, if u dont use option 4, and remember to disable locking
